Mackinac Island and Harbor Springs

On THU we left to drive to Mackinac City to get on a boat that will bring us to Mackinac Island. On this Island there are NO cars!!! Only horses/ with carriages, bicycles and walking passengers you'll see.
It's a rip off though :(... just the boat tour alone was already $22 per person, luckily the kids are still free :) and then we went on the island and everything you wanted to see from the inside you had to pay for! That was very sad :(.
Zoe and Henry loved the Boat ride.... Zoe was talking about boats all vacation and once she was on it... oh my... never stopped. Here our start into the day, our ride to the Island:

Some shots of the streets of Mackinac Island

BEAUTIFUL houses!!! It was just amazing... and the views... unbelievable... I mean it was so worth it just for the views alone...

The 'Grand Hotel', just to enter it $10 per person... I couldn't believe it!!! We just took a very nice long walk through the island (a 7 miles walk) and we had amazing views and didn't pay a dime for any of the 'attractions'. If anybody wants to go there, be aware of that you have to pay for everything. We even brought our own sandwiches and only paid for coffee and ice cream that day :). Pppfff... we're not falling for this Mackinac Island people!!! ;)
492 people actually 'live' on this Island... pretty cool.

The Arch Rock - only thing that was free ;)
... look at the stunning views... it was the most beautiful view I've ever seen!

My hubby :). My most favorite picture of the whole trip :). Isn't that a great one?

The 'Fort' and Taxi waiting for passengers who need a ride

Enjoying some ice cream and coffee after a 7 mile hike :)
The boat ride home was almost like a roller coaster ride since it was soo windy, the kids loved it.
The next morning we decided to head back home. Henry got sick and we all didn't sleep much. We've seen everything we wanted to see and were ready to be back in our home sweet home.
Our last stop before heading back was Harbor Springs... another beautiful city! It was so nice up at the 'Great Lakes'. I'm glad we saw the area and we can only suggest vacationers to go and see the area up north of Michigan.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures... of course it's not as good as the original ;)... Wonderful Wonderful Area :).
