Zoe is getting a sibling

Yesterday we did our test to check if we succeeded in giving Zoe a sibling soon :)... the results are 'PREGNANT' :)... we're very happy and it's unbelievable how much love you can feel!
Getting pregnant the first time was already an overwhelming feeling of love and how much of a miracle this is... getting pregnant the second time makes you feel so much more love you've never thought could even exist! Now we're not becoming a family... we're expending our family...

a feeling you can't describe you have to feel for yourself in order to know what I mean. We're very excited and I look forward to experience another great pregnancy. I always loved being pregnant so I hope I'll enjoy this pregnancy as much as Zoe's pregnancy :).

Delicious Beef Rouladen

Jela gave us this cool cookbook for X-mas and yesterday I think I made the first dish from it and it turned out just DELICIOUS

6 little rouladen lay around on the counter, there came the little Rona along and put them all in the pan *lol*
DELICIOUS, and I have to say... it's not as difficult as I thought... the prep work is pretty easy to do, then you just fry them in a pan on each side to brown them, put the onions, vegetables in it, vegetable stock and let it sit for a while.... delicious meal. I made two extra for Frank and I to eat today :)... very clever since I don't have to cook today *lol*

Unhappy Zoe

She's so cute chilling out while watching 'sesame street' leaning against a pillow with her snack box in front of her *lol*... she's only 1 but oh well... she knows what's comfortable. She loves her snack box by the way... specially when it contains her favorite 'sesame smily faces'Me Unhappy!!! Can you tell?

Zoe's little TV

This is way more interesting than taking a nap! Today she actually was awake from 8AM to 330PM crawling around like a maniac and exploring, cracking up, walking (held on hands) and just going crazy!

Way too much fun to be awake and finally at 330PM I was successful putting her to bed *sigh*
She's getting more fun every day... it's just amazing watching her grow up... it's scary how fast it goes. She also starts to communicate already in her own way which is kind a cool.

Food Food Food

It seems Zoe is always hungry! She loves sitting on the counter watching me cook or bake... anything with food is awesome!
Today Zoe and I went to the mall, got some fancy make up (treat for mommy) and after the shopping Zoe got to play around in the play area, it was so cute... she was always talking/ shouting at the other kids who were running around... of course she wanted to run around as well... but she crawled around like crazy and also crawled over this snake. Funny enough she spotted right away the food the other parents were eating! How embarrassing.... can you imagine, you go with your kid to the playground and your kid goes begging for food at other people! Of course I didn't let her do that but if I wouldn't have kept her away, she totally would've done that! Well at least in case she ever gets lost, first thing to look for her is in the food court *lol*... just kidding! I never leave her out of my sight/ear.

Bounce n Play

Today we had so much fun at Bounce n Play by attending a Meetup Play Date. Zoe had so much fun with Janos it was soooo cute to see the two playing and giggling... I wish I had my camera with me but Silke made some video footage I'll post when I get it ;)Zoe is crawling into the house (you can see her head and socks) and Janos follows his new buddy ;)What's up guys? Play Group and more

On Tuesday we got quite some snow out here. I decided not to leave the house just to be on the safe side. Wednesday Zoe and I took off the Christmas decoration :(... now our house is naked again. It was so cute how she started helping me pulling the lights closer :).Yesterday we went to our mom's meeting and of course Zoe spottet the cookies! The other babies got fed some baby puffs and Zoe was right away at the feeding mom's side and wanted some puffs (how embarrassing!)

So now we're at a point where I can't work when Zoe is awake! I work now in the early mornings, during her nap after lunch and after she went to bed :(. But look at this, I can still bake a cake and she's perfectly fine and patiently sitting there watching me bake!!! I should change my profession to a baker ;) at least I can bake while she's up *lol*

Getting bigger and bigger

Well, today I feel like 'writing'... Zoe is getting bigger and bigger and more mobile every day. The other day I forgot to close the gate to the stairs because we wanted to leave in a minute, checked one email and hear Zoe complaining... started looking for her and there she was sitting at the middle of the stairs not being able to go down again! Too funny.

Another funny story... we have these 'door stopper' at almost every door attached to the wall. They're like 'spirals' and make cool sounds when you grab them (of course) and the other day Zoe grabbed soooo hard that she actually had the whole thing in her hand! Ok, now we have to fix it...

Another funny story, I just fed her lunch, put her down, she was busy playing around. I fix my lunch, sit down... wusch... Zoe crawls super speedy towards me, stands up next to me and is making her noise 'I want FOOD'... ok ok... there is nothing we can eat anymore without sharing it with her!!! NOTHING... she spots food everywhere and is right away at the action where the food is... Question that I ask myself a lot of times now: Did we make a dog or a baby???

Even boring mashed potatoes with carrots or rice cereal are not good enough for her, no, she wants what I eat, the pasta with the ham and sauce!!! (Edda, I made the dish and Frank actually loved it *YEAH*. I would've never guessed that in a million years so now it's back on the menue in our house hold).

She also knows how to let us know she doesn't like it! Hands up, pushing the spoon away with a facial expression... it just cracks you up!

She can now walk along the couch or with her walker and I showed her how to 'massage' her body with these cool soft balls with nopples on them... today I saw her trying to massage her neck!

Another funny thing... I hear women getting pregnant a lot lately. I have no clue if that's because we officially started getting pregnant now too or if we're having a baby boom coming??? I swear, I've counted them yesterday and I think I came up to 9 women I know that are pregnant! Maybe it's also because I hang around with so many moms that the 'second' or 'third' baby is just a matter of when anyways or was there something in the mix in dec???

I wanna suggest to you all who'd like to read fun stories, to read Nicole's blog (see under friends and family). She writes sooo funny, everytime she posts something I'm just cracking up! I just have to mention it. She's expecting her second child ;). I know her from the Michigan Mom's Group, a group I discovered through meetup.com... awesome network to find people to hang out with.

Ok, that's it for today. I have to go back to work, Zoe is snoozing out now for her nap and lately I have a harder time getting my work in. But I make it work somehow.

Regarding Frankie Boy, he's off to Toronto today, comes back tomorrow and flies THU to FR to Chicago... I guess the reality has us back :(...
