SITA is here :)

YEAH, Aunt Sita is here. Zoe loved picking her up :). Sita is a little exhausted from staying overnight at the airport in Boston. She couldn't check in and had to stay outside the ticketing area with ALL her baggage!!! Very weird setup! I'm glad she's here, we'll have some great 1.5 weeks together :)...

Excited to have family over

I'm sooo excited because only two more nights and Sita is going to arrive! As you can see, I'm trying to mix up German and English so you guys in Germany are good to go again... sorry for the late response to that one. This is going to be so confusing *lol*. Das wird so ein Durcheinander hier *lol*.
Also, everything is ok here... my eye is not hurting but my finger (left middle) is hurting and I try to not use it as much. Tomorrow I'm going to the doc again for a checkup to see if everything heals the way it should. It's kind of stupid to go out now, everybody is looking and they probably think I got beat up by somebody very badly :(. Working with the eye is going ok but I can feel exhausting in the eye so I only did my time for today even though I could work more hrs since Zoe is somehow very sleepy today :). Now some pics from our little Cutie pie, here a picture I made and sent to my coworker, she had a very bad day so we sent her a big smile.
Ms. Zoe goofing around today.
Look at this cute nose... omg... she's just perfect. And sleeping again... she wasn't awake a lot today... time for me to rest some too :).
My horrible looking face :(, hier mein entstelltes Gesicht. Ok, I bet there are worse faces after accidents... luckily I don't have to see myself all the time *lol*. The bruise moved over to the other eye as well... well... we've evened it out almost!!!

First Day in the Emergency Room - ALL OK NOW

Oh man, what a day! Everything is ok first of...
so I checked some emails before I wanted to get up (around 11AM) and got up, made the bed and when I walked around the bed all of the sudden I lost my continuousness and fell, hit my face somewhere, woke up and felt like loosing all my teeth and put my hand on my face and saw blood dripping... urgh... went into the bathroom and looked at the dilemma!!! Called Frank right away because he was already on his feet shopping and went downstairs for now, chattet with my family in Germany and asked what I should do... coolpack. Frank came home, totally done and said we have to go to the emergency room.
I had to eat something, took a shower and on the way with baby we were to the urgent care here in Belleville, but that doc just looked at it and said I hit it really hard that Xrays have to be done to check that the bones were still intact. So we had to go to the emergency room... went there, checked in and it didn't take long until they checked me (I fed Zoe in the meantime). They glued the cuts (2 times half a cm long cuts) and did a bunch of test on me. Drew blood, did a CT, EKG, blood pressure, temperature... around 6PM we finally were able to leave the emergency room with all thumbs up. Everything looked good... nothing was abnormal!
I also hit my knee and my arm, that will give two additional bruises but the worst is my eye, it just looks disgusting!!!
Zoe did awesome. You couldn't even tell that there was a baby in the emergency room... she just was very quiet and looked around, played with daddy, got fed every once in a while (how cool that we have her food with us, ready to go *lol*) and everybody loved her. It was horrible being in the emergency room though. People came in screaming in pain... I couldn't stand it and was hoping to be released ASAP!!!
The CT wasn't bad but it just brought back memories of Mom and totally threw me off. I was so glad that Frank was with me. He was a great support and took care of Zoe and me :). We're soooo glad we're back home... now we're relaxing.
Oh, and my youngest sister decided spontaneously to come out to Detroit :). She'll arrive next week and we'll take her with us to Baltimore. We'll have a BLAAAAST. We look forward to it a lot.

Brabbelmaeuschen

... got it?
Yeah, me neither... I don't speak this language... our little talky Cutie

Zoe's first bandage

It happened, our first nail clip accident. Since it was bleeding I put a bandage over it... so this is the first one... needed to document that ;)... she was fine, just cried to let me know that I missed the nail and was good again. Now she finds this blue thing on her hand sometimes and is very curious what that might be... and it's not leaving the finger, too funny! :) I'm curious how long it's gonna stay on her finger

Chicago trip went well

Well, I missed my first full day of Zoe's life :(... I left the house while she was still sleeping and I came back home when she was already in bed!!! What a bummer.
But I had a great time in CHI, it was a long day and I enjoyed the flight and everything but it totally doesn't give me the kick anymore with all the meeting going on and stuff then it gave me when I wasn't a mom. Babies just steal your heart totally and everything changes. Now spending a day with your little one gives you all you need and if you miss one day of it you're totally sad about it! But it was ok. I was totally calm because I knew Frank was with her, he took a day off and enjoyed a daddy/ daughter day. He did such a great job, Zoe slept through the whole night! I have to ask what his secret is ;)... he's such a great daddy. We're looking forward to our weekend. SAT is USA vs. Ghana and on SUN is Germany vs. England. That'll be an exciting WE. Oh and on SAT night I'll have a girls night out... dancing!!! Uh oh ;)... here some pics I found on my Iphone... enjoy:
She can be sooo serious when she is checking out things *lol*our little sleepy head :)... oh man, she's so much fun! We're looking forward to going to Baltimore next weekend and then my dad and Meike will come into town as well... YEAH... they finally meet their son in law :) and their granddaughter :)... and me of course, but they know me already very good *lol*... crazy Rona *lol*. That will be a very family happy July. We'll probably be totally bummed when everybody is gone and we're back alone again :(...

Last Mom's Group Meeting

Today was our last Mom's Group Meeting for the first session :(... we have to say 'goodbye' to a few mom's but we'll continue meeting on weekends' and keep in touch. We made a 'farewell' picture from all our babies but two were missing... here you go:
Zoe just loves holding hands I guess, Jonah didn't like it at all though... I think Zoe is very intimidating to baby boys *lol*
Posing for the camera with Leah:
and this is how it looks in our 'class' everybody in a circle with baby in front of us and we can change right there, feed and don't have to leave the conversation.... LOVE ITZoe loves being there with all the other babies :)
OH YEAAAAAAH, Germany won, what a game... YEAH YEAH YEAH. Good, Germany doesn't have to play against USA *lol*... I saw it almost coming... but they mixed it the right way. GO GERMANY GO... GO USA GO...
Ok, have to pay some attention to my daughter here... enough blogging she says!!!

Road Trip to Chicago

Man what a great time we had :). On Sunday Zoe and I drove to Chicago and it took us about 5.5 hrs with 2 stops we had to make because Zoe wanted to eat something and get changed. I was sooo excited to go to Chicago that I arrived totally hyper at Steph's place.
Germany vs. Australia (World Soccer Game) were playing earlier that day and the four of them (Steph, Sandra & Ravyn and Sani) were watching it (GERMANY WON 4:0 *YEAH*). After I finally arrived we had BBQ and chattet a little bit. It was so great hanging out with the girls... oh man I miss that. I would've loved to watch the game with them as well but I wanted to sleep in and Zoe sleeps normally until 11AM as well so we ended up being on the road at noon.
On Monday we went to work together very early because I had a conference call scheduled for 7AM Chicago time. I put Zoe into her stroller and right away she went back to her normal morning sleep which was great. Coworkers wanted to see her already but I tried to put them off until Zoe would be awake. Many coworkers were so excited to see us :)... it was great. Also working with Sani again in one room, chatting about the work we're having, talking about the solutions we're working on. I really miss it and it was so great I wish we could work like more often!
It was a big change being in the office.... when I went to the bathroom I ran into 10 people, here at home there is nobody I run into *lol*... also the noise, here at home it's so quiet because I just keep everything off and enjoy the quietness when I have it and in the office everybody was talking so loud and it was very noise in the office, very weird. Also being around people all day again, very different... you actually have to behave and 'check' what you're saying *lol*.
When we had our conf call (with Customer Solution people from all over the world - most of the times the head guys of the regions) I had some screens popping up on my laptop saying: low memory!!!
I said to Sandra: Man, I have low memory here...
Sandra: Das ist nix neues fuer mich (That's nothing new to me)

5 min later: Rona: Ich muss auf's Klo, ey! (Man, I have to pee)
Sandra is looking at the phone: Oh man, the mute button isn't pressed!!! And half of the people on the call are German *LOL*... we were so cracking up... that's probably why the germans went quiet after we had our little conversations here... haha, oh man... see... I told Sandra: Well, I bet you haven't laughed that hard lately here at work. And she agreed! Rona is back *lol* and the tummy muscles hurt again from laughing so much :). Well, don't worry, I didn't say it that loud that they actually could understand it... it was just lots of fun on our part.
Even Zoe got her own badge, look how cute it is... everybody loved her and some wanted to keep her but of course It took her back home with me :).
It was strange, once we got home Zoe didn't want to be alone anymore. She constantly wanted to be carried around by me or sit on my lap watching me uploading video's etc. as soon as I tried to put her in bed or lay here down next to me on the couch or on the ground she wouldn't be ok but scream as crazy. I guess she had some very exciting days, being handed off and meeting sooo many new people that she just needed some 'mommy time'. Here a video from her watching Sani's cats:

Zoe's first Ballgame :)

Yeah, Zoe was on her first Ballgame and had lots of fun, she loved being around all these people and was looking around tons. Only slept twice a few minutes. It was just too exciting. Here a picture on the bus:She loved looking out the window
A family picture :)

The tigers (Detroit) vs. Pirates (Pittsburgh)It was freaking hot!!! 87 Degrees F!!! HOT HOT HOT
Zoe just loved it. Me too :)
YEAH... The tigers won... by the way. This was a company trip. Frank invited the whole office to get out to the ballgame. We were 36 people in total:
The board:
Zoe is sooo tired but is still trying to keep up with us ;). She even made it through the fireworks but at the end of it she crashed:
And NOW, we're gonna get ready for our little road trip to Chicago :). Zoe and I will drive out there to hang out with my friends today. We gonna to a german BBQ :) and tomorrow we'll go into the office showing off little Zoe and TUE we'll gonna drive back home. Ohhh, I'm sooo excited. Time to get the baby ready :)

rolling over pics

She just rolled over again:I think she likes it
After she got her 4 month shots she fell out and was still shobbing during her sleep from all her crying/ screaming during her doc visit. She doesn't like the doc anymore. She even flipped out when we were at my midwife for my yearly checkup. Before the midwife came into the room and only the nurses played around with Zoe all was good, as soon as the door got shot... *aaaahhhh*... Oh oh... now I can't even take her with me to my doc visits anymore :(
