Outlet Mall Shopping

Today we've met with 6 German Girls for a German brunch in my apartment. We had a great time chatting and made our way to the Outlet Mall for a shopping tour after our stomaches were filled. Sandra and Mareike brought another German Girl on board who lives with her husband across my street. Isn't that funny? Her name is also Sandra (yes, watch out... now we're getting also additional Sandra's here) and she & her husband Jared moved to Schaumburg three month ago and haven't really made friends around here. Jared joined us girls with our shopping tour. Here you can see: Jared & Sandra, Mareike and Sandra:
This was a great Sunday and we all look forward to more of those great times in the future.

Kansas City

I just got back home from my businesstrip to Kansas City :). I've had a great time with the colleagues over there and we established a lot within the two days.
Kansas City is a very nice city and next to our office is a Harley Davidson shop, isn't that great? And not only a shop but a huge Harley Davidson Factory where you can join a guided tour through the facility. So the guy, I went to lunch with today, and I have done a little shopping after lunch at the Harley Davidson store and we decided next time when I'll be in Kansas City we will do a tour through this factory :). That's cool, isn't it? So I look forward to my next businesstrip to Kansas City :).

Google.com

Because of the antibiodics I still have to take, I'm feeling much better these days :)... so I went to the course I've enrolled a few weeks ago 'the secrets of google'. I was hoping to get to know different people and/or learn new features of google. When I arrived there... I was a little bit dissappointed... old ladies who had zero experiences with the pc :(... So I sat down and was listening to the guy for 2 hours but afterwards I was totally up to try some new stuff with my blog :). As you can see... the course was worth it :)...
This Saturday is such a nice one. The sun is shining and it's warm outside. Really beautiful... I've promised a few of you to post some pics from the area where I live in. So I just took a quick walk outside and here are some pics from this beautiful area I live in.
This shows the mainstreet of our apartment complex. In the beginning on the right side (not visible on this pic) is the Clubhouse with the pool and exercise equipment :). Behind the curve to the right is Steph's street and the next to the left (not visible either) is my street :).Here a view from my parking lot across the street to Steph's backyard. When I go over to her place I normally use the simple way through the backyard :). Her place is in the very middle behind all those trees :).A view from the other side of the street into my street. The house at the right side of the pic is where my apartment is located. And here we are... The way to my entrance... very nice area, isn't it? I love living here... it's so beautiful. Everytime when I come home and enter the driveway my heart is jumping up and down like a little kid... YES... THIS IS MY HOME :).

Theatre and Sickness

On Saturday night Sandra, Sean, John and I went to the Chicago Theatre to see The Family Guy Show LIVE :). The Family Guy is kind of like the Simpsons a Comic and we saw the people who give those characters their voice. It was sooo funny :). We had a lot of fun. And the theatre looks so glamorous inside... WOW... like an old opera house... Unfortunately I got sick again :(... I was just over a week without antibiotica and now I have to take some again :(. This time it's not a sinus infection but a minor infection that hurts much more... I began running a fever on sunday that we tried to drop with some medicine but the pain didn't really went away and the fever still went up and down. On Tuesday John brought me to his doc and he prescribed me some antibiotica again :(. So I'll be on antibiotica again for 10-15 days and this afternoon I'll start going to work again. Hopefully I'll survive :).
John's taking very good care of me :)... he's so cute :)... I hope I'll feel much better soon because after a while being so sick, specially if it's the second time in such a short time... IT SUCKS!!! :)

Remodeling

Good Evening!
This is my wonderful memory from my vacation in Germany. A lot of pics... :)... The only problem I have... the glass of this picture frame broke in two pieces and now I need a replacement for the glass or another frame... it's still in process...Yesterday I had a crazy evening and needed to do something different. So I remodeled my apartment a little bit. The dining set is in the kitchen now and the livingroom set I've changed a little bit around :). I know... the walls are still a little bit empty... but as soon as I'll get this glass I'll put the nice frame on the wall. As you know... it always takes a while until I've decided WHERE this picture will have its place :).

Cincinnati Girls in Chicago

This was again a wonderful weekend with some crazy Girls from Cincinnati :). On friday night Andrea, Franzi and three other Girls from Cincinnati made their way to Chicago to spend their weekend in our wonderful city. I've decided it would be better to let the girls live in my apartment and move to John for the weekend. At around 1 AM they arrived and picked up the keys at John's place and we talked about meeting together the next day for dinner in Chicago DownTown.
Actually it was my first time back in Chicago DownTown since I moved here... it's unbelievable, I know but I haven't been downtown yet. This will definetly change...
When John and I got to the parking garage we've made a crazy knowledge. Isn't this unbelievable... this car will park there for a while, I guess :). We all were in the mood to have dinner at the Cheese Factory which was kind of a good and bad decision. The food was great but we had some troubles with our waitress :) but the fun was there as the pics show you:
After the dinner we went for a little walk to the Millenium Park that has been closed already :(... at least we've walked of a bit of our heavy dinner :).John and I really enjoyed this evening and decided to spend at least one day or night a month downtown to have lunch or dinner and enjoy the city a little bit more :)...
Chicago is a REALLY nice city... and the Girls said that they'll come back pretty soon. I look forward to have you Girls back soon :).

Today they're on their way downtown for a little more sight seeing and then they'll drive back to Cincinnati because tomorrow they have to take care of their little kids again :)... have fun...
