Reorganized Kitchen and Kartoffelpuffer

Today we reorganized and cleaned the whole kitchen, that was sooo needed and now we have so much more space, it's unbelievable!
Here some shots of the little one, she again changed somehow... she looks cuter every day!!!
Today I also made 'Kartoffelpuffer'. I kinda love cooking, our house smells constantly like food :(. We're still trying to get rid of the 'duck smell'. Oh well...
Zoe loved the Kartoffelpuffer as well. I felt like being young again, coming home from school and eat Mama's Kartoffelpuffer while telling her what happened in school... good times. If you guys have any suggestions for meals, let me know. Not too complicated suggestions please ;)... I should post some easy recipes for you guys to 'copy' ;)... in case somebody is interested. I love my new pots and pans... fancy cooking in our house ;).

Zoe's 1st Christmas

Enjoy watching Zoe unwrapping her Christmas present:

Reading Christmas Cards and looking for the squirrel

Zoe is checking out our Christmas cards.
Also Zoe is checking out if there is a squirrel in our backyard because at Grandma's she always knocked with Grandma on the screen to see the squirrel that came to visit Grandma and Zoe daily... too cute

Henu's 80th B-Day

First Duck ever

On the 25th we made a duck. With help from my mother in law, we had a tasty duck in the end. We skyped while I prepared the duck and she told me what to do. It tasted very good!!!together with cabbage, red cabbage and mashed potato we had a great meal

Train Garden

I found some pics on my camera from a couple of days ago... since they're so cute... here you go... doing laundry with Zoe:love this pic
Today Frank, Zoe and I went to the 'Train Garden' in Baltimore. It's provided by the fire dept.. It's basically a big dream of most men coming true, a little train landscape ;)... here a pic of Zoe and I :)
Zoe enjoyed it, probably more all the kids than the trains passing her ;). It was fun and something different.
Zoe and Daddy:The Ravens (Baltimore Football Team) play against Pittsburgh (their neighbor team):
Halloween Grusel:
On the way back we saw this crazy lit up house. Here are many more houses lit up in wonderful Christmas decoration. I love it :). I couldn't talk Frank into driving through town to go through this one street I told you about, maybe tomorrow after we celebrate Frank's Dad's 80th Birthday (belated. His B-Day was on the 7th) with the whole family. I look forward to the dinner and how he'll react to the birthday gift :)... will get you some pics after the event ;).

Baltimore

Here we are... not really taking a lot of pics though. I get up very early to get my work in. Good thing is Norma helps watching Zoe while I finish up my work when Zoe is up... I'm done sooo early with my work, it's very weird. With family around things are way easier!!! I can tell you that ;).
Yesterday Zoe and I went out shopping, we got her an additional bedding thing for her crib which makes her sleep much better and liking the travel bed again (since she barely slept the first two nights). And we got some very nice new clothes because she's outgrowing her 12 months clothes soon. I can't believe she's so big already. She learned so much in the last few days. Now she pulls herself up already, she can crawl over hurdles and crawl up a step, just crawling is already 'boring' because she knows so many new things... it's crazy. She likes to shake around with grandma... fun fun fun.
She also always wants to eat my food!!! There are times when I eat a soup and all the ingredients like noodles and vegetables are landing in Zoe's mouth and not mine!!! Time to get her her own plate of normal food ;)... it depends on how she feels, when she's feeling not very well, she wants to have her baby cereal. I guess it's her comfort food, so cute!
Oh, also, she feeds herself now and can hold her cup herself or grabs my big bottle and drinks from the straw (that's her favorite).
Here a picture from the mall, wanting to get my lunch as well *lol*.
Today we pretty much were home all day and then Ray and Patty came over and we went out to dinner. It was great and Zoe enjoyed it as well. We stopped by at 32nd street or so, where there is one street CRAZY lit up with x-mas lights!!! If Frank is up to it on FR, we have to go back there and revisit that street so I can take some video to show you guys, you won't believe it.
Yeah, Frank is gone since TUE, he's working in NYC right now and comes back tomorrow night, hopefully not too late so the two of us can have a nice dinner together (or three, in case he comes back before Zoe's bedtime)
Little sunshine :), she's smiling at Grandma

Trip to Baltimore

Here a picture from Zoe and I ready to showel some snow. It was def. easier with a big belly than with a baby in a carrier ;). This morning we started getting some snow again but I went out alone before my two cuties got up ;) that was quick and easy. Luckily we have the worst behind us, only 3hrs to go and we're in Baltimore :). Zoe does great and Frank managed the crazy snow drive so far very good while I was a nervous wreck! With Baby in the car everything changes!

We just did a stop and look what I found! I've never seen this... Soooo cool:

A kids toilet, next to an adult toilet incl. a place you can tie your kid down so you can pee in peace and a changing table!!! I'm very impressed!

Polar Express - Story Time at Barnes & Noble (bookstore)

Zoe and I went to the Story Time of 'The Polar Express' on Saturday:even Santa came and gave everybody a gift, and the conductor read the book:
We're very busy... yesterday we had lots of people over to bake cookies, it was wild and fun. Unfortunately, Zoe is very clingy lately so I had to bake with one hand while Zoe was hanging on my other hip! CRAZY!!! But as a mom you're getting used to do many things with an attached baby on your hips *lol*...
Here's a picture of today, Zoe was playing in the other room while I worked and then I didn't hear anything for a while so I checked and there she was... ready for a nap ;)... she's never done this since I always put her to bed before she even lays down on her own like this... but it was very cute, now she's in bed taking her second nap while I go back to work... TSCHAKKA, that's how we roll ;)
