Montana here we come...

With all the visitors at home... it's time for us to be the visitors as well sometime :). Off we go to visit Doug, Dana & Sophia in Montana. The kids were beyond thrilled... they couldn't wait to see Sophia and spend the time with her at her little farm with all the animals. The kids did AMAZING... both flights they were outstanding and made a lot of fans on the way to Montana.
Excited to ride the train inside the DTW airport
My carry-on I never had to haul, the two were fighting over who got to haul that luggage, too cute!
Ready for the flight to MSP

The layover of 3.5 hrs was gone in no time with that cool play area for kids and another train that we rode a few times as well inside the MSP airport

Almost there... HLN here we come. The kids always studied the safety cards :)

One very excited Cousin to see her cousins :)
We made it and three super happy kids in the backseat!!!

View from the back of the house... it's just beautiful
Sunday Morning starts with lots of fun farm items... catching butterflies was on the agenda as well

Doug's veggie garden - sooo impressive...
Front porches :)... my favorite thing... my must - to spend at least a little bit of time once a day on there
looking for sapphires. We actually found quite some great one...

Our treasures...
What a view...

Bye Bye

Selfies at the Airport... Ulla's departure...
... and two days later Jenny's departure
Some people came to see our home so I had to take the kids out... we had a Frosty Boy and spent the rest of the time at the playground in the neighborhood park.

Home Alone

We're home alone again...

Ulla left on WED with a very crazy adventure trip back home. Oh my... it took her I think almost three days to go back to Estonia. Her normal trip would've been Detroit - Chicago - Berlin - Estonia (Home)... but in Chicago no flight was there so she had to wait overnight for the next one, they finally got her a new connection but it wasn't directly to Berlin... she had to go through London to Berlin. Then when she was in Berlin, her connection flight was of course not there anymore so she had to go to Finland and then home... I tell you... she finally was home when we headed to the Airport to drop of Jenny 2.5 days after we dropped off Ulla at the Detroit Airport... but Jenny's flight was no biggie, Amsterdam - Vienna and I already got her message that she arrived in AMS ok so I'm sure the flight to VIE is without any issues either. Guys, never ever book with Air Berlin - lesson learned ;). I'm sure Ulla won't touch that website ever again and we won't either...

Back to some stories from the last few days... One of our shopping trips... Ulla was so amazed by how much food I bought (which is a weekly thing for me) but her and her mom never buy so much in one trip ;)... shopping cart filled to the rim and trust me that food is gone within 5-7 days...
A few days after the girls arrived we spontaneously decided to put our house on the market and look for a new home with more land and a place so Frank's Business can be handled at. Here some pics from our fun house shopping days. The girls loved seeing some other american homes... and the little ones did sooo great... I'm very proud of how our kids grow up. More and more I see how all the hard work we put into raising them pays off and it makes me so proud to see what kind of decisions they make on their own or how amazing they listen...
Henry loved this big boulder at the one house
And a hamrock at another house
toys...

already feeling at home
Trust me it won't be easy for us finding a house... it will be very hard. We look in a very big radius which should make it a lot easier but it's not at all. So stay tuned ;)... it will be hard to top what we have, if I could just take our home and move it onto more land... we're done ;). But that's not possible so wish us a lot of luck that something will pop up sometime soon that calls our name.

Zoe's end of the season award party arrived and her team won the championship!!! So proud of them... Zoe got LOTS of ribbons which she's eagerly collecting. She much rather goes to the competitions than to the trainings *lol*...

Pizza Award Party ... Jenny got to see it and even Frank joined the ceremony which was awesome.
The sign is up!!!
Look at this beauty!!! *sniff*
While I got everything ready for showings... I mean literally the house is empty. Our agent said it is best if everything is gone and since I can make it possible it is all gone hidden in the cabinets and closets but don't worry, if you'd open a closet or cabinet it won't come out tumbling down *lol*... I think it's good and I like that nobody sees our things anyway unless they look into the closets... privacy...
We already had two showings the first day the house was active. We're just trying to stay out of the house as much as possible and the kids are doing amazing with it. I miss my kitchen a little... I worry about cooking smell but I really feel like cooking - funny how you can miss cooking :). But I think tonight I'll have Frank put some steaks on our BBQ and make some jummy vegetables with it for an amazing yummi dinner - unless of course we have a showing.

THU we took Jenny to a new beach I always wanted to try out. The kids had a lot of fun and I totally enjoyed the relaxing beach afternoon after going crazy in the house for 1.5 days cleaning and putting everything away. I was soooo ready for just chilling out

The kids made friends and build a little water slide

FR, our last day with Jenny... we decided to show her Chuck E. Cheese since that's one of the kids' favorite place and we went there with Dustin as well just before he left for a little after party... and the kids had a blast and Jenny liked the place too.
So many fun memories and yes we actually have four family members more in our little family of four. When Jenny came back it felt like she's always been there... like a daughter returning, same with Ulla, Dustin will always be a part as well - Henry's Bro :), we miss our three additions a lot and look forward to our future visits with them. And of course not to forget Uncle Ernie aka Bjoern :)...

Let's home we'll find a great home with great schools and an extra bedroom for our future exchange students and guests so we can continue to grow and enjoy this full life of ours.
Ready set go... departure time is approaching.

More Exchange Students

We have a boy!!! Henry started wanting to climb trees now... cracks me up... and he did it...
One exchange student left and two came back ;). Jenny and Ulla came to spend time with us over the summer and of course we have to go get a Frosty Boy...
The kids took the girls to the park with them.

We hang out at the pool a lot enjoying the gym to the fullest. I got Ulla hooked on Zumba :)... so cool...
4th of July we spent at Greenfield Village with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and an amazing fireworks display

Pool Time
Ups, jup... that happened too. Zoe lost a tooth! Her very first one... she ask the American Tooth Fairy to leave her tooth for her to keep. Of course she left it.
Hanging out at the beach
Cheering for the German Soccer Team
Oh and success story!!! My healthy diet not only made me feel so much better (I found out I might be lactose intolerant as well :( ) but I also lost quite some pounds to my satisfaction. I had this motorcycle leather that my Mom wore when she was a crazy newlywed (and she always was super skinny) I can only imagine how skinny she was as a young woman... anyway... I had it in my closet for a year I kind of forgot to try it on after I got it and now I finally got it out and it fit. It's tight but hell I was able to close that zipper and that was just amazing in itself to me!!! So I'm hooked on this great fitness / eating healthy and doing ZUMBA trip. I'm even starting to 'tone' now... it's so super exciting to watch the progress and hopefully this lifestyle will keep me very healthy and active and happy for many many years to come.
Boom Shakalakka :)...
