The Henry Ford

On FR the 'Magical History Tour' Exhibit of the Beatles started to show at the Henry Ford Museum and since we got in for free (Members only on FR) I needed to go see it. And I'm so glad I did when it was free. I always expect too much :(... it's just not what I'm used to... if you make such a big deal out of it then it better be wow... but it was just ok. The kids enjoyed it and they had fun listening to the music ear pieces and all the funky stuff you could do with it. But I was a bit disappointed and glad I went when it was free :)

Henry wanted me to be a Beatle. Picture taken by Henry:

On SAT we went to the Greenfield Village after meeting up with our friends at their house. It was a lot of fun and even though we only had a little bit of time it was worth it to get out there... Thomas the Train (a real big steam engine dressed as Thomas) is there for three weekends now... I try to go there as much as I can since they offer a bunch of fun activities for the kids and since I'm a member it's free for me.
A ride on the carousel

Today (Sunday) we went again for a little bit and this time we got to manage to do a lot more. Riding the Model T, going on the bus and riding the carousel again... oh and playing with the train tracks :)

Morning Assembly lead by Zoe and her class

Dentist and stuff

My big kids!!! They had their dentist checkup and for the first time they climbed onto the dentist chair all by themselves and did a terrific job following the cleaning procedure and checkup... AMAZING... we've come a long way... I'm so glad they enjoy going to the dentist now and have positive memories of it... they even get to be on the picture wall with all the other 'cavity free' kids :). I'm on there too :)...
A community event to teach the kids how to call 911 in case of an emergency and test out the ambulance equipment... when time comes that they have to face such an event (hopefully never) they'll know what to expect.

Zoe in her element... swim lessons
Having brunch with my super cuties...

Snow and Pool Weather a week apart...

Jup, that's right... last WE we had snow coming down and it was around freezing temperatures and this weekend we could jump into the pool because it's so hot and amazingly sunny :).
Last WE:
The kids and I tried out a new recipe but unfortunately we kind of ruined them by leaving them in the oven too long and the marshmallows were gone *lol* still tasted awesome but weren't looking like they should've.
Trying out a new playground before picking up Dustin from Track Practice:

Henry and I took Dustin with us to Greenfield Village... a ride on the carousel:

Goofing around before heading to another Exchange Student's house to escort her to prom ;). Dustin gets to attend two proms :)...
Time for pics... Rosa (originally from Hamburg, Germany - living in the wild wild west about 1.5 hrs from us) and her prom date Dustin :) with her host sister and her date as well as a friend

our handsome Dustin

After dropping him off we got ourselves a treat until we drove to our hotel and check out Jackson, MI
On the way home we stopped and a cute lake and enjoyed the view as well as the wonderful weather...

Videos from the Imagination Station

Spring Break!

Well, this year unfortunately Dustin and Zoe had spring break in different weeks :(... Dustin goes to our high school in the district while we placed Zoe in a school outside of our district and even in another county... it's been crazy since we barely have breaks together with our friends or we might have break with some and not with the others due to all our different districts which is really sad but we just have to live with it. Well, we did the most out of it and I think we totally had a great week. First I wanted to take the kids with me and do a trip out of state but I ended up without destination so I left that thought alone and made the week very special 'at home'. Since Henry had pre-school this week, Zoe got 6 very special hours just with me and she totally enjoyed that and soaked up every minute of it :).
TUE in our Mommy/ Daughter time we finally get Zoe's hair cut. It just had to get the ends cut but Zoe decided she wanted the hair to be cut more and I let her do it. It looked so pretty... Crystal got it blown out and this little Cutie was totally happy with the results and so proud
Then... we got some Sushi :)... and which we normally DON'T do at all... ate it in the car. It was too cold outside and the store we got it unfortunately didn't have anywhere to sit down and to enjoy the food. So we ended up in the back row of the van and did something we normally never do so it was very special and we enjoyed a yummy lunch.
Already time to pick up Henry again... but it was a great first Mommy/ Daughter Time of the week:
TUE we also had some friends over for lunch which was a great time as well.

After we picked up Dustin from school as well, the kids were not leaving him alone ;)... totally sore from track practice they bounced on him until he finally had the power to get off the couch and made his way upstairs.

WED we went to Toledo to the Imagination Station. It was a really nice day... it was a rainy day so it was perfect to do something inside and since we've never been there it was great and new and the kids had a blast.

You can't tell but this 'room' was totally cricket... on an 25% angle it not only made your mind go crazy but you could barely walk through it without falling against the wall... it was their favorite exhibit. I have some videos too. I might upload them later.

Slime... in black light it glowed which was of course a big hit.

Keeping the kids 'active' staying on the rocks and not falling into the lava

Oh we had a great time

A bit from Toledo outside...

Ups... another Sushi outing. This time at the store with the seating possibility and we enjoyed it (THU - second Mommy/Daughter Time)
AAAAAaaand Starbucks :). Zoe had a hot chocolate and I got my Grande Latte :)... we made our 'list ' for the summer break... all the things we really need to be doing... beach, splash park, water park, play ground... etc ;)... It was a fun time and as you can see, one very happy little girl

FR morning we went bowling with our friends which was a really great time too. We finally got to meet with our kindergarteners this time and not only with the boys. We had pizza at the bowling alley and since we got time in time to squeeze in an imax movie in 3D which was free to us since we are members at the Henry Ford Museum we got to enjoy this amazing 45 min 3D movie about the american National Parks. It made me feel so great showing the kids these amazing places during spring break.

Very successful and fun spring break... couldn't have been better :).
