In Zoe's case... she's still very comfortable in there... nothing happened yet.

crazy heavy traffic
Ok... I see that some people are on the page hourly to check the status of our baby ;)... it reminds me of the time when Sophia was on her way. I had the advantage that Dana called me almost every day because of curious questions she had in regards of our family and birth days... it was too funny but I was always up to date.
Look what I found
Amazing... I'm just cleaning up Mackie and move over all the pictures I've taken throughout the year to my external hard drive and I'm looking through all the programs and find the funniest things... man... how fun is that? I have to check out what else is there that I haven't seen yet... what an adventure!

Camcorder
First of all... WHO voted for after Feb. 7th? Not acceptable!!! Somebody wants to make me more upset, am I right? *lol*
Well... I don't know how much longer I'll survive being pregnant! I don't even wanna sleep anymore because the tons of bathroom runs are getting very ridiculous! Getting up somehow, feeling all the pressure again that is going on in my pelvis, walking in pain to the bathroom, getting into bed, going back to sleep for a little bit before it's time to get up again! Urgh, I'm really DONE. Last night I even considered not to sleep at all... but I guess being totally tired when labor actually starts is not a good idea either *lol*.
I have some good news as well. Frank has completed all his research on a camcorder for us (he's our research guru. I just don't have the patient for it. But he's really going into details and is on every website there is about the product, reads reviews etc. I'm very glad he takes care of it *g*...). So yesterday we went shopping, got the Sony Handycam HDR-XR200V and now I'm working on my part of the deal, figuring the tool out and getting to know all its tricks, how to make little movies to post them on the blog etc.! I'm very lucky that Zoe won't be able to say anything about not wanting to be filmed and photographed all the time *lol*... on the other hand shots of my better half I have to sneak in :).
And the other good news is that I had some cramps yesterday when we were out. But somehow they went away after a while :(... we had a very nice Saturday again and also had our WE breakfast out... who knows... maybe that one was our last one alone?
Alright, now I'm getting ready for my morning walk. We might do my taxes today, get that one out of the way before we'll be busy feeding, changing diapers and calming down Zoe ;).

best husband there is
Guck Guck... jup... we're still here and nothing happened yet. It's very amazing how often woman can run to the bathroom during the pregnancy. I had such an easy going pregnancy and only if I had to, visit the bathroom once at night... now I'm constantly running to the bathroom!!! Unbelievable!!! But I'm very lucky that it just started a week ago and not earlier... I still sleep very good in between the bathroom runs ;).
And then I have to tell you I'm so lucky to have the best husband there is. He takes awesome care of us and yesterday night he came up with the idea to run out to the movie rental place, get some movies and ice cream *OMG*... he's so patient with me and tries to make it as comfortable as he can. I'm so in love with him :). He'll be such a great daddy... I totally look forward to our time together with our little one. Until then we enjoy the time we have alone :).
Ok, time for my morning walk. I feel much better moving around, keeps the energy and the spirit up and keeps the pain away :).

still pregnant
Hello guys, I see that there is already a lot of traffic here on the blog in the very early morning. Just letting you know that nothing happened yet... nothing planned for today... just resting... and waiting ;).

112/75 - YEAH
Alright... Midwife visit went well. My blood pressure was 112/75 what a great number *proud of me*. Frank and I figured out it's probably the workout. I did do a lot of workout before I got pregnant and then I got lazy because of all the tiredness you have during pregnancy... my blood pressure was never really good until I started walking a couple of weeks ago and it came out great. Then I got sick, didn't walk for a couple of days, blood pressure again weird up... this week I did do great workout and my blood pressure is perfect :). Soooo cooool!!! That makes us very happy. Since I'm planning on continuing with three walks a day I should be awesome with my blood pressure on our labor day!
One scary thing, since we're having our due date today and next week THU will be week 41 we needed to schedule an appt. additional to the next midwife appt. with the hospital for an extra checkup on the baby and contractions! That's totally uncool I have to say! We'll needless to say but I don't think that she is still in my belly by that time... but who knows...
So today we just went to the midwife and then I went to the mall, took a walk inside the mall... it's way warmer in there ;). Since I wasn't feeling so well and being cranky I decided to go home, watch my lunch soaps (bringing home baby and pregnancy for dummies). And then I took a nap... yes... I took a nap again... urgh... I'm totally not a nap girl. I'm such a morning person but when it comes to naps I feel so miserable after I get up. But a nice cold walk outside stimulated my brain cells again and now I'm awake and good again. These walks are just awesome. Ok, it's getting a little too cold now but I'm still walking (-9 Degrees C right now plus wind). And at nights Frank and I take a walk together :).
40 weeks
Hhhmmm... no comment!!!
Jup... she's still too comfortable in there I guess. At least we've made our 40 weeks picture and in a little bit we'll go to our 40 weeks midwife appt! Let's go with the flow and get it done...

So... today... no plans other than the midwife appt. so I'm gonna stop by at the mall after the appt. and walk around a lot :)... check out some stores and bring back the cool diaper utensils dispenser (didn't fit on our furniture) and then I might go to the movies... depends on my mood ;). Ok, I have to check out what movies are on at what times... and then I have to get ready and go! Will keep you posted when I come back...

Brunch
Ups, Wednesday is already almost over... and with that January, 27th of 2010! Today I had Franziska over for brunch and we spent some hours talking about this and that. Time went by to quickly I couldn't believe it when we looked at the clock again!
Tomorrow is Zoe's calculated 'Due Date'... only 4% of all first born babies will make it on their due date! I'm kind of curious what happens to the trigger tomorrow... is she falling out of the last flower? I'll check right away tomorrow :).
Also we have our 40 week midwife appt. tomorrow morning.

New home office
Did I post the new home office already? I think I didn't! Here a picture of it... we moved it downstairs into the previous 'reading room' and we love it. Now we have all the bedrooms upstairs and all the other rooms downstairs. We like it a lot...
Well... I know... I have to be patient. I guess it's just tough for me to enjoy being lazy!!! Just came back from my morning walk... I think today I'm gonna try for three walks. I heard you'll recover better if you're walking a lot prior to giving birth.
I have found already two shows I started watching: natural births at home/ in birth centers and bringing home baby.
Tomorrow I'm having Franziska over for brunch... I look forward to that.
Ok, time for my shows... and lunch :).
@ Jela & Jenny: Yeah... I guess she's not gonna be born on January, 26th! Tomorrow is my guess day... but I don't think she'll decide for that one either.

First day at home!
Hhmmm, very weird... my first day at home. I was a little sad this morning when Frank left for work and I was just not going anywhere... but I've packed my day already with lots of things that can be done and I should be pretty busy until the afternoon.
The shower needed a scrub down, bedding needed to be washed and now I'm taking a little latte break with a nice creation again:
See, now I can enjoy a latte every morning :). Isn't that awesome? Delicious.
See, now I can enjoy a latte every morning :). Isn't that awesome? Delicious. Next I'll dry my hair so I won't get more sick than I am already... still fighting with a blocked nose every now and then :(... and then I'll take a walk through the neighborhood and run some errands. Will stop by at babies r'us as well :)... it's always cool stopping at that place. Plus I can still use the parking spot for 'expecting Mom's', that alone is worth it going there *lol*.
Well, and as you can tell... I'm still pregnant *lol*... I'm done shifting around this big belly... specially at night to change sleep positions... it's just not so easy anymore... can you imagine rolling over from one side to another and dragging a heavy stone with you every time? BUT... can't complain, still get lots of sleep and I don't have so much longer. I'm doing everything I can to get her out before this month ends... you'll see... I'll be successful!
Ok... let's do some workout next...
Oh, and sorry if my posts are getting sooo boring in the next couple of days ;)... just be patient with me... and soon you'll get many interesting posts of our little one growing up! That will be a blast following I bet! I'm very excited about it.

New Espresso Cup
Today we did big shopping at Bed, Bath and Beyond. That's a store where you can buy almost everything for the house hold... kitchen, bath and bedroom stuff and more... here our new little espresso cups with a finished espresso in it... i'm finalizing my latte's every day :)... they taste sooo good :)
Luckily while breast feeding one cup a day is ok as well *YEAH*. Well Zoe is used to one cup of coffee a day, why should she bother when she's out ;)... it's just too delicious.

Well, Frank knew already... but I had no clue until that day *lol*. But as you can tell... I got that taste back... but it lasted a couple of weeks... very weird.
... 4 more days to go.

39 weeks
Man... another week has gone by!!! Amazing. Ok, here we are at 39 weeks... 7 more days to go until Due Date:
So... since I was sick all last week (stupid sinuses) and very crappy because I could barely breath through my nose => less sleep... I decided to make tomorrow my last work day and start my maternity leave on Monday.
So... since I was sick all last week (stupid sinuses) and very crappy because I could barely breath through my nose => less sleep... I decided to make tomorrow my last work day and start my maternity leave on Monday. Today we were again at the midwife and everything looks normal again, besides my blood pressure :(... it was 110/90. My second number was never that high... I guess it is the nose spray I took besides inhaling to free my nose ways. But oh well... on the positive side I didn't gain any weight for the second week in a row now :).
Yesterday we took a tour through the hospital and checked out the unit where the deliveries happen. Was ok... it's a hospital, what can I say! ;)... but our midwives are just great so we'll be in good hands.

Hot Mama - Part II
Today I got the rest of the pics... and Kathy is right. Too many good pics to choose one. That will be a very tough decision to be made with one will be the one in Zoe's room. We'll wait until her pics have been taken and then we'll see what matches up the best:

So I had this nice idea... when it's warm outside and Zoe can sit (might be next year) I'm gonna take some shots with her and her daddy on the Harley :). Uuuhhhh, they'll turn out totally cute I bet.
... 10 more days to go until our Due-Date... :)

Baby Room - ready
We are ready for her... Frank assembled her changing table and dresser during the week and I just cleaned them and put up the decoration. I think we did wonderful. We're very happy with the results... here a look into her cute nursery. Can't believe we'll have a new family member soon...
Watch out for: Hot Mama :)
Saturday I met with a photographer and got some very nice shots taken of my huge belly... here some results :)...
I have to tell you... I had so much fun and really enjoyed the shooting. Pregnant ladies out there... I'd totally suggest getting shots taking... it's so much fun and totally worth it.

... by the way... only 11 days to go!!!

38 weeks
Here we are again! Can't believe it's Thursday again... well today I did take the picture again in the early morning... so my eyes are still half closed ;)... but we're focusing here on little Zoe and you can see... not much of a different than last week. I don't 'see' it anymore that I get bigger but apparently by belly grew 1cm again in this week. I didn't gain one pound *g* and all tests that have been done are negative so we're in very very good shape. Have some great news on my blood pressure... you won't believe it but it was only 110/80!!! WOW... during the whole pregnancy it was never ever that low in the midwife's office... I was doing a little dance in the office after I went on the scale :)... it was just too good of a day today.
Heartbeat is great and the midwife was giving us an estimate on her current weight from what she felt... she must be ca. 6 lbs big, how cute... still so tiny... I'm very glad, you know in the end she has to come out somehow! Since Dec 4th to today she gained 2 lbs. Hope she won't make a very big growing step within the next 2 weeks or I'll be horrified pushing her out... but I think she's an average baby... no surprises.
My hips still give me a very stupid pain. Getting up or moving around hurts a lot... but if you get up and walk the pain out it's getting less with each step. That's at least a little relief.

What else is new? Oh yes, Frank assembled the changing table, it looks awesome and when the dresser is setup as well and a little more decoration is setup I'll post an updated picture of her room as well... it's not ready yet! I know, I know... not much time left, but I think if we would've had the feeling that she would come any minute than it would've been all be done already. I think she comes in the last January week so we're still good to go on our time clock :).

taking walks
Wow, it's only 2 weeks and 2 days until our due date! Since I had some painful days of moving around I finally decided it's enough of being pregnant. Even though I really enjoy it... the pain is not fun at all... the pain comes probably from loosening up the muscles for her big entrance and getting the body ready for labor.
It's so crazy!!! The nature knows how to make it great for the expecting moms... all that great experiences during pregnancy that you really enjoy being pregnant and don't wanna miss the baby in the baby anymore... but then when it's getting time... the pain that you just wanna get her out!
So I started taking walks after work... a nice walk around in the neighborhood with the great fresh air... it's a little chilly outside but it just smells awesome and it is sooo good coming home after a nice fresh walk. Here some pics of the neighborhood again :)... the lake is frozen and snow has piled up a little on the ice surface:
the sunset makes the clouds red:
remember, this pics have been taken by my IPhone... if I would've had a great camera... it would've been a dream sky on this picture, I'm just to lazy to take a camera with me:
and almost home, here our house to the left and our nice neighbors to the right... you can see, all the houses have kind of a similar style:
Oh, and by the way... I started noticing that I have braxton hicks contractions... my belly is getting ready and practices already for the big day... they don't hurt at all... I think I had some of them already earlier but since they don't hurt, I didn't notice!!! ;)... the belly is getting very hard and then it gets back to normal.
On Saturday I'll have an appt. with a photographer. We're going to shoot some nice pics with the baby belly. And then when Zoe is here we're going to shoot some pics again, but with Zoe :)... then my belly won't be nice anymore for a while I guess :(... but NO stretch marks so far *YEAH*.
On Thursday we have our next midwife appt. but I don't expect any news ;)... just the normal stuff as usual: good and healthy baby and 'mom to be' shooting for a natural and good going birth with the supporting and excited 'father to be' at our side... what else can you ask for??? I'm soooo HAPPY :)... lalalalalaaa :)

Our house covered in snow
Here finally a picture from the front of the house covered with snow...
The sun was shining brightly and made the day so wonderful... it's so beautiful outside. Omg the house looks so good... we really enjoy living here. It's perfect for us... and we're finally getting settled and organized as well... it's all coming together step by step...
and a picture from our driveway into the neighborhood

Snow... Snow... Snow... :)
Hello Hello, the snow is here :)... so cool... I really enjoy it. It looks soooo quiet outside. We had some snow already in the last couple of days but today it really came down. It's very slippery outside and our roads in the neighborhood haven't been cleaned at all :(... so we have a very nice and quiet view right now. Here a picture looking outside from our front door:
and a view into our backyard to the right...
... and to the left:
37 weeks
Ups... and another week has past already! Man it is going fast!!! Today we also had a midwife appt. and everything looks very good again. Now we have to go every week... well... if we have to ;).

The rooms are coming together
Here some pics of the guest bedrooms that you haven't seen yet. This one has it's own bathroom attached and will be the 'main guest suite':
Then we moved the office furniture out of the 'lake view' room and set up our second guest bedroom. This bedroom shares a full bathroom with Zoe's room (which she doesn't need now of course... but will later on when she's a big girl):

And finally some pics of the crib. We've bought this beautiful bedroom set for her with flowers and butterflies, just sooo cute, matching her slippers :)
Her cuddle rabbit that she'll probably won't let us wash at all ;)
and finally some of her clothes that she'll be all wrapped up in in the winter time: Isn't the jacket cute?
uiuiui... 27 days to go...
