Zoe's first time sitting in the shopping cart

She loved it... she was kind of annoyed by driving backwards and was looking around left and right... she loves watching people :)... don't know where she got that from *lol* ;). We have so much fun :)She was so busy looking around, there was no look for the camera to catch for me!

My Urban Toddler

Today we met at 'my urban toddler' (it's an inside play area, totally cool. The little ones are in a little area in the middle so they cannot be run over by the toddlers). It was again so much fun, I really enjoy hanging out with the people I met here. Zoe had lots of fun too, we're somehow most of the times the first ones... Zoe played right away with the toys (didn't even need me anymore) and was looking interested around to what happened outside the little infant area:

Heute haben wir uns bei 'my urban toddler' getroffen mit der Mom's group (das ist ein kleiner Spielplatz mit einem Mini Einkaufsladen, einem Theater, Kreidewand, Buecherrei etc. fuer die kleinen und in der Mitte gibt es einen eingegraenzten Bereich fuer die kleinen Huepfer, damit die nicht uebergerannt werden von den kleinen rennenden Kindern). Es war mal wieder total schoen. Die Leute, die ich hier kennengelernt habe sind wirklich total nett und ich geniesse die Zeit mit denen gewaltig. Zoe hatte auch ne Menge Spass mit dem Spielzeug (sie braucht mich gar nicht mehr) und war super interessiert an dem was ausserhalb ihres kleinen Bereiches abging:

so funny, she was smiling and Grant and Geri and then she looked at me smiling 'telling' me that they are here and she's happy *lol*... she's cracking me up all the time. She's such a great baby girl. I love being a mommy.

so witzig, sie hat Grant und Geri angegrinst und dann ruebergeschaut zu mir und mich angesmilt von wegen: Grant und Geri sind hier und sie war sooo happy *lol*... sie bringt mich echt so oft zum Lachen. Sie ist so ein tolles Baby Girl. Ich liebe es Mama zu sein :)

I think tomorrow we'll finally go to the 'Krabbelgruppe' (all german mom's, the same from the mondays' breakfast. But I kind of skip that one because it messes up my whole work week when I get a short work hr start on mondays).

Ich denke morgen werden wir zur Krabbelgruppe gehen (alles deutsche Muetter, die gleichen von dem Montagsfruehstueck Treffen. Aber wir sind da schon ewig nicht mehr gewesen, da es immer doof ist schon Montag mit den Arbeitsstunden hinterher zu haengen).

Shopping for wedding/anniversary dresses

Yeah, X-Mas is coming soon... I saw the first Santa at Costco the other day, this one would fit perfectly next to our front door :). Uuhhooohh, I look forward to the x-mas time already so much! Today Zoe and I went shopping, we needed some dresses for her and me because we'll be at a wedding and a 50th anniversary party in october and we need to look nice :). So I found the cutest little dresses for our little sunshine but for me I couldn't find the right one. I'll try again tomorrow. Zoe did fantastic, she slept a while (I guess she was bored looking at all the dresses *lol*) and was interested the rest of the time in all the people that walked by and said: oh, how cute :)... it was such a great day:
And then back home she right away played with her toys and talked a storm... it really seemed she missed all her toys today, such a funny little girl :).
Don't look at her 'not matching' outfit, Zoe peed while I changed her and my 'emergency' outfit didn't fit with the socks she wore today ;)... happens ;)
We have such a happy and great baby girl *in love* :). While the two of us were out shopping, Frank changed out the last set of blinds in our living room, it looks so great and light now. Now we're all done, we can start with the next project now... hanging up pictures and decorations :). We've such a great life :)... time to get Zoe bed ready... ;)

Hanging out with Zoe

Lesestunde

Today Zoe and I went to barnes and nobles (bookstore) to the Lesestunde for kids. A guy reads two books to the kids who gather around in a little circle. I thought that's a cool idea for Zoe and so we checked it out. Got a Starbucks for me before the beginning ;) and off we went upstairs to the kids section. I loved it, it's two times 15 min stories and then the bear from the book showed up, the kids loved it and Zoe was watching and listening very seriously, so cute!!! I think she was more interested in the other kids then the reading but you could tell she enjoyed it a lot. And we were home for lunch in time. We'll do that more often, for sure :).

Happy 7 months

Our little sunshine turned 7 months yesterday!!! Zoe is doing so good, for a week now she sleeps through the night (8PM is bedtime and she wakes up between 8AM and 10AM). I sneaked sweet potatoes in her lunch and now she likes it but she still insists on getting a smashed banana afterwards ;) so cute, she stops eating the sweet potato and leaves some room for her banana... she's sooo clever! I only breastfeed her three times a day (when she wakes up, at 3PM and 8PM) and then she gets lunch at noon (vegetables and her banana) and then rice cereal mixed with breastmilk for dinner at 6PM. Yeah, we're totally on a routine but it works out so well for all of us. Most of the time she takes a nap after lunch but sometimes she doesn't want to and sneaks in a nap in the car or in the afternoon or sometimes before lunch (like right now). We have it all figured out as you can see :).

Unser kleiner Sonnenschein ist gestern 7 Monate alt geworden!!! Zoe macht sich super, seit einer Woche schlaeft sie nun durch (um 20Uhr bringen wir sie ins Bett und dann wacht sie morgens auf so zwischen 8 - 10 Uhr). Nun haben wir es auch endlich geschafft ihr puerriertes Gemuese zu geben zum Lunch aber sie besteht immernoch darauf ihre zermantschte Banane zu bekommen hinterher ;). Das ist so niedlich, sie weigert sich dann noch weitere Suesskartoffel zu essen und laesst Raum frei fuer ihre Banane... sie ist richtig schlau! Ich stille sie nun nur noch dreimal am Tag, einmal wenn sie aufsteht, dann um 15Uhr und abends bevor es zu Bett geht um 20Uhr. Und dann bekommt sie puerriertes Gemuese und ihre Banane zum Mittagessen um 12 und zum Abendessen um 18Uhr gibt es dann Brei angeruehrt mit Muttermilch. Wir haben eine richtige Routine, aber das klappt einfach super fuer alle. Meistens haelt sie auch einen Mittagschlaf nach ihrem Mittagessen, aber manchmal hat sie keine Lust dazu (wie gestern) und dann schummelt sie n kleines Nickerchen zu einer anderen Tageszeit rein wie z.B. im Auto oder wie jetzt gerade vor ihrem Lunch ;). Alles bestens hier... hier ein paar pics von gestern:
