First full week in Oct

Oh my, where did the year go? Can't believe we're already heading towards middle of October and again the Fall season goes by way too fast again but on the other token, this quick season combined with less work works out for me :). I get to spend a lot of fun times with the kids and we will have our first own Halloween Party this month as well so we'll see what we come up with :).
Here some fun pics from our activities this week:
MON: Henry Ford Museum with Michael and his two sons:

Our scarecrow is standing!!! Exciting... we like it. It's funny and ridiculous looking. It lost already all its hair :( in the wind... we didn't fix it good enough so it withstands winds of course and we had some heavy winds and rain just a few days ago but oh well. We still love it :).
TUE I took the kids to the Treehouse. I really enjoy those two days a week that we have with no school and no timeline when we can just go and come back whenever we want to and not when school starts :).

WED night we took the girls to the Pumpkin Factory. One of the most amazing sunrises we got to see and we got on the last hay ride of the day :). The kids had a blast and Jenny and Ulla enjoyed their first (for Ulla and second for Jenny) hayride :)

Yesterday (THU) we met Jen at the Greenfield Village, the weather was just AMAZING and I was so excited to maybe see already a glimpse of the Halloween Decorations for todays' event

... then I found this hall loaded up with ready to carved pumpkins and I couldn't believe it. Those two had a machine that carved the pumpkins for them. Soooo cool... I need that too *lol*... they told us which ones they do and then there were lots of volunteers as well carving away pumpkins... this is so crazy... when you go there you see HOW many carved pumpkins there are and it's literally amazing. You always go through the world and every little event you go to you think it's been put together like nothing but since I planned a couple of events myself and get to ask more questions nowadays I find out so much more 'behind the scene' stuff that is REALLY interesting and opens your eyes to a whole new area. Every little execution of something small or big has an even bigger planner / operation sitting right behind it... check it out and see if you get to find out how big the organization behind it really is. You'll be amazed ;)

We got to take a train ride and they even filled up the coal this time...
