Zoe graduated Preschool

Somehow it hit me with surprise but Zoe just graduated Preschool (Kindergarten) yesterday. I thought it wasn't such a big deal and I was really looking forward to the summer without school schedule and driving back and forth.

Zoe had two very amazing teachers who I'm very thankful for. They made the start for Zoe's school time so amazing and I hope it continues like this for her. She loved going to school. 

Now we'll have until Sept 8th without schedule and school drop off's and pick ups... I'm very excited for that. We'll make the most out of this time and then we'll see how Kindergarten (Vorschule) starts off for us. We'll also have our new exchange student Dustin by then living with us so it'll be a fun and busy time for us for the 'back to school' time.

Aaaand, may 2015 has passed! Unbelievable... these last few months just flew by somehow. Summer is almost here. Zoe's last day of preschool is tomorrow then we're back to free scheduling and mind our own business all week long - YEAH. 

Here we are celebrating Emma and Laura's 3rd Birthday - yes, they're 3 already!!! Time flies

I met my friend Stephanie from Chicago half way on the beach - awesome idea and super cool beach. The kids and we had a blast... def. going to do that again.

Henry and I dropped off Zoe at school and we walked by a cow and a sheep as well as a hen that were chilling at the elementary school playground - very odd but a must -see ;)

Splash Park Time is back

Celebrating Sophia and Annamarie's 3rd Birthday. Annamarie's dad made the castle cake himself... I was very impressed. Henry ate 2 pieces of course... he's a chocolate monster :)

Koston's 4th Birthday Party. I know... it seems like we've been celebrating A LOT in the last 2 weeks.... the kids had a blast.

After my Zumba class we went over to IKEA and took advantage of Kids eat free TUE :)... free coffee for me and my healthy 'meal' was only $3.17 Yeah... I know where to go ;)... hihihi...

Visit from Chicago

On Monday I met with two German friends in the park and the kids loved that new playground we've found with the little creek. Needless to say they spent the whole time in the creek :)... 

Enjoying the heat watching the kids... wow... the sunglasses look pretty big on me somehow - maybe it's just the angle... anyway - look at the blue sky...

TUE till FR my very good friend from Chicago came and visit us with her girls. It was so much fun spending time together and the kids really enjoyed the company too.

THU we went to Greenfield Village and enjoyed the whole day outside.

Hello Summer... oh wait...

The weather has been really crazy... it was so hot the other day that we should've worn shirts and shorts (no warning to get those clothes out from winterbreak or anything) and we had some wonderful warm days but then it went back to a very cool few days and even frost *ups*... glad I didn't start planting the veggies outside yet. I got the vegetable garden up but we haven't plant anything yet.

In the meantime Zoe and I enjoyed some time alone out at the mall while the guys went to Costco and afterwards I took both kids out to Greenfield Village.

The kids had a blast. Thomas the Engine was there for three weekends. Unfortunately I couldn't take the kids the second weekend since I was in Chicago with my German friends :)... all alone - no kids. But therefore I went both SAT and SUN the last weekend to make up for the missing weekend :).

Monday Night at 'Sprachwerkstatt' (German Class) we had Traffic Rules. The kids got to bring their bikes, trikes and scooters and had to learn the traffic signs and how to behave in traffic.

After the big storm on Monday afternoon / night the weather temps dropped so that we had to get out winter jackets out again but we still had a lot of fun at the Toledo Zoo

This time we got to feed the birds. It was a lot of fun.

The kids loved it. I'm sure we have to do this now every time we go to the Toledo Zoo ;)
