6.5 months

Happy 1st Anniversary :)

What a great day. Our first Anniversary is here. It's unbelievable that we're already married for one year! We had a great first year of marriage and enjoy our anniversary nice and cozy at home. First we wanted to go out to dinner but we decided to buy nice pieces of steak and just cook it at home and have a cozy dinner at home.

It was so cute, at 2PM the door bell rang and I had to answer! A flower girl came and gave me a bouquet of flowers from my husband :)... and then he gave me another gift bag with a very cute card and this amazing 1st anniversary ring. Zoe is happier than ever, it seems that she notices that today is a special day for us :).

Was fuer ein schoener Tag. Unser erster Hochzeitstag. Es ist unglaublich, dass wir schon ein Jahr verheiratet sind! Unser erstes Jahr verheiratet war einfach genial und wir geniessen unseren Hochzeitstag gemuetlich zuhause. Zuerst hatten wir geplant zu Dinner zu gehen, aber irgendwie ist es doch schoener ein paar leckere Stuecke Fleisch auf den Grill zu packen und gemuetlich Zuhause zu speisen.

Frank hat eine total suesse Ueberraschung fuer mich gehabt. Um 2 Uhr hat die Tuer geschellt und ich musste aufmachen und da stand eine Frau mit einem Blumengesteck fuer mich :)... und dann kam Frank noch um die Ecke mit einem Geschenk (ein unglaublich schoener 1. Hochzeitstagsring) und einer total schoenen Karte. Zoe ist super gluecklich heute, scheint, dass sie merkt dass dies ein spezieller Tag fuer uns ist :)
Last week I went ahead and ordered a 'wedding cake' for us in mini version since we didn't have a wedding cake on our actual wedding I thought this might be a cool thing to have it now on our first anniversay.

Letzte Woche habe ich eine Mini-Hochzeitstorte bestellt fuer heute da wir an unserer Hochzeit keine Hochzeitstorte hatten, dachte ich das waere eine coole Idee an unserem 1. Hochzeitstag eine Mini-Hochzeitstorte zu haben :).

If you wonder what Frank got for our anniversary ;)... he got introduced to the Apple world with his own iTouch that I loaded up with some music for him and pics of us and specially Zoe.

Natuerlich hat Frank auch etwas zu unserem Hochzeitstag bekommen. Er wurde in die Apple world eingefuehrt mit einem iTouch den ich schon ein wenig beladen haben mit seiner Musik und Bildern von uns und speziell ein paar mehr Bilder von Zoe :).

Patiently waiting

Here is Zoe patiently waiting on us to get packed and ready to head out home. We had some great days here in Chicago and I took three days off for the rest of the week to relax a little with our little sunshine!

Girls shopping

Zoe is such a girl :). We're having fun doing window shopping in the woodfield mall where I've been so many times when I lived here. Zoe wants to sit up and watches everything. She loves it!
Working this morning went well. She slept so long that I was done by lunch :)... Yeah

On the way to Chicago

Isn't that cool? We're in the car driving to Chicago and I can blog. Just did a quick stop but the restaurant was crowded so we're on the road again to the next MCDoof ;). I'm hanging out with Zoe in the meantime. She just sat up by herself!!!! She's growing up way too fast :(

Last Mom's Group

What a great life :).

This Morning Zoe was just smiling again so big that it brought a tear in my eyes how very happy I am! It really is amazing. Being down to 20 hrs and I reduced my activities a little, not trying to do everything I'm much more relaxed and I enjoy every day a lot. Now it's hard to get me out of the house *lol*. But it's good, I needed to do less, it was just too much.

Zoe is doing great, her second tooth came in (if you look closely at the pics you can see her one tooth). She totally loves her rice cereal and bananas, she's not into other stuff and tests me out what I'm giving her! It's hilarious. She's already so smart. Talks a lot now and has a very good schedule that works well for all of us.

Wednesday we had our last Mom's group since we're going to start a music class in Sept. She just loves music! Her smiles are getting bigger when we sing a song to her, I guess she has music in her blood ;).

She's going nuts in her jumper, even in the bathtub she's kicking her legs like crazy and tries to push herself out of the tub... she's splashing around in the tub, I almost need to pull up the curtain so the bathroom stays dry! She just has lots of fun :)
On WED we finally did her hands and feet at the mom's group. They're already so much bigger than at birth, but at least she has her 6.5 months old hands and feet in her baby book. There is so much to write in... I'm always behind! But now I try to remember to stay on track!
We'll be gone SUN-WED having fun in Chicago, I need to get back to work now, have a busy day today. BBQ tomorrow with our neighbors and Zoe and I need to so some shopping later for that! Talk to you guys later :)

How much you can love a baby...

... a LOT... yeah, you can't put it into words.

We have a great time here, had a weekend without anything going on, just the three of us, enjoying our living here. We have so beautiful days here... last week is was very hot and humid, this week it's hot but not humid, it's just PERFECT... it's like being on vacation each single day :). Life is GREAT :).

Yesterday I took a nap with her. I was done with work and tired anyways so I took a nap with her, we slept for 2 hrs!!!

This weekend we have a BBQ planned with our neighbors and on Sunday we'll head out to Chicago :). Frank has some business meetings with dinner etc. and we'll join him of course and hang out with friends *YEAH*. Look forward to that a lot. I just have to find a solution for my workout since we'll stay in a hotel next to the airport (no nice walking in sight)... well... i'll find a way to do some sports or will just take a few days off!
