Ok, long story short... on THU the bank asked for a final offer (everybody who bid already can put in a second/ higher bid to make sure they get it). Since we both wanted our dream house so badly, we put in the highest bid we were able to afford and sure enough today we got the 'YES'!!! Now all the paperwork has to get done ASAP because the bank wants the closing to be done on Sept, 28th!!! Big plus for me because I really want to move before I enter the third trimester (which starts already in the end of October - gosh the time is running fast). We'll drive by the house tomorrow again and I'll take some pictures of it so I can post them for you.

Crazy Couple!
Yes, the title says it all... you wouldn't believe it but once we put in the offer at the nice house from the last post and got accepted, Frank found our dream house in the #1 neighborhood (the same neighborhood the first house (colorful house) we bid on is in)!!! Yes, isn't that funny? We tried to take a look into it on Monday right away but somebody locked the keys inside the house :(... anyways, didn't hinder us to put in an offer. Since I went to STL for business, I haven't had the chance to take a look into the house until Thursday morning. But Frank met with the listing agent on Wednesday right after the inspection on our 'potential' house was being done (all was kind of ok, just minor things) and fell in love with the dream house right away. And I agreed after I saw the house on Thursday as well. Man, I'm telling you... that house has EVERYTHING that we're looking for, the perfect layout, great neighborhood, new paint, clean carpet, nice kitchen, south garden with patio, three door garage, big master suite with great big walk-in closet and jacuzzi... after we saw that house we totally didn't want to have the 'potential' house anymore even though we might've lost both if we would've stepped back from the 'potential' house! We took the risk...

Offer worked out... our potential new home
On Wednesday night we quickly took a look into this wonderful house and put in an offer. This was already on the market and we just missed it last time. But luckily for us the deal didn't go through because the bidder couldn't get his money straight. That was very good for us, because we had a chance to put in an offer and it has been accepted as well. We are looking into a closing date of Sept., 30th. Here a little taste of our potential new home:
There is already a play ground in the backyard, ready for 'Zoe' to play in :)
It has a great deck and patio where we can spend great summer nights...
More later when we have more details and the key's in our hands :).
long weekend with family in Baltimore
This weekend we drove to Baltimore and spent some great time with family.
On Saturday we went to Jay and his family and had some Crabs. That was so interesting, Ray was going crabbing early that morning by himself and brought back about 75 crabs! Look at those crabs:

Ray just came back:

MMmmhhh, look at him :) *big smile*...
Here we're eating crabs. Frank's father to the left, Jamie Leigh, Alex and Tina on the left. Jay is standing in the back ready for cutting the carton :)... and to the right here... yeah, you know them :)... Frank and I:
Frank's Mom, a friend, Jamie Leigh and Alex:
The crabs spent some time in a big bowl with ice so they get numb and don't crawl around so much in the pot while they're getting steamed:

Another house offer
Today I arrived in DET around 8 and around 9 we were on the road again to look at a potential house. Right away we put in an offer because it is exactly what we're looking for.
Wish us luck that we're going to get it :). Chances are pretty good this time. We'll keep you posted.

Car is loaded up
Only one more day and I'll be back on the road :). Just loaded up the car with my clothes, shoes :), dishes and the rest that I could find in my pantry. I'm always very surprised how much fits in my car. It's pretty amazing... that's it for now. The rest of my stuff comes with me once we've decided if we stay in the condo or we'll move into a house.
I have a funny thing to tell. I have a coworker who is quite unique... I mean we have many of those unique people ;). So this one gave me her congrats and she asked how far along I am. So I told her and asked her if she wants to see it... because I still had the ultrasound picture in my desk :). Ui, she was very disgusted, 'NO NO... I can't stand those pictures'. And then she went on and said... that she can't understand how pregnant women can wear bading suits!!! There is nothing more disgusting.
So my comment was: Is it ok if I wear a bikini then instead? *lol*
Vicki and I were were cracking up... and the girl was almost about to get sick!!! *lol*... man, we have so much fun... it's too funny.
Yeah, the news are getting around... another girl gave me her congrats today and ask also how far along I was and she was shocked! 'Man, you've hidden it very well... you can barely tell' *hihi*. But she told me that starting now I'll grow very fast... oh oh!!! I read this morning that our baby will double her weight within the next three weeks! I can imagine that I'll expand pretty quick if that's really the case.
I still feel awesome... no complaints at all. I heard about the other pregnant lady in the office that she's very mean to everybody else in her dept. - Hormons I guess ;). And then I was cracking up again because I'm still most of the time in a very good mood and talked to a coworker who told me then he wishes he's on the same 'trip' as I am. I told him it's called: pregnancy *lol*. Yeah... that trip won't work for him as a man.
Yeah, I'm just very, very happy... and you can tell that I am :)... I'm also very happy to finally move, even though I have to travel a lot within the next few weeks... we're hoping that it's getting a little less afterwards with the traveling... but you never know in our jobs.

Cute Baby GIRL
Today we went to the doc again and found out that we're going to have a baby girl. First she was hiding her sex with her crossed legs. But after a while and moving around a little more we could see that it's going to be a girl. I mean we couldn't really see what the doc was seeing... but she said if she won't be sure she won't tell us. We're very excited and look how cute she looks already... omg... it's gonna be a Cutie :)
The ears are still moving up a little... she's still in the process of getting ready... and we saw all 5 fingers on each hand :). So cute and little!!! All measurements that she did (head, upper leg bone and her upper arm bone) are perfectly right for her age so she's developing in great pace.

Yesterday our company invited us to the Cubs (Baseball) Game. Unfortunately it was raining and they post phoned the start of the game. And then after 2.5 hrs of waiting we went home and then half an hour later they cancelled the game. How sad :(... I was really looking forward to seeing that game. We'll see what happens with the tickets. We might get tickets for another game now or the money back. The problem is, if we get other tickets we might not be able to go because it might be a game during the week/ day. Specially with my move to DET, that was kind of one of the last options we had... but there will be another game sometime soon I bet... maybe the Cubs play in Detroit sometime ;).

16 weeks and 1 day
Ok, I think you can tell by now... :)... it's just when I wear my dress pans, it looks 'big' and if I wear my cool new maternity jeans (today is FR - Jeans can be worn in the office) it looks much cooler and like a baby belly and not just 'big'... i love my belly :)
Rumors going around in the office about the mysterious question for the name of the father of the baby *lol*... I don't even know about all those 'rumors' that go around... I'm always the last to know or I never get them. Some people just ask me directly and then I get to know the rumors... like today. One of the managers came around and wanted to ask me a personal question. Sure ;)... I'm open. Who the father is :)... I told her and then she said she knew that there is something going around that's wrong. So when she left she said that she's going to push the right information back *lol*... that's too funny!

Vicki and I have such a blast right now... Omg... I'm gonna miss her :(... I bet I'll have a blast in DET as well. Frank has chosen a cubicle for me already, hopefully both of my neighbors are morning people ;) and then we'll go from there...
August 31st I'll start working in DET, even though I have to fly out that night again to STL (so you can't really say that I'll start working in DET I guess) and will come back WED night :(... and the week afterwards I'll be in CHI again... maybe I should change that around a little... it's too much traveling for me lately... I go nuts. I look forward to our little vacation to Baltimore... just before the move, I think that's a great start into our life together and a nice break in between of all the stress at work! Can't wait until it all settles down a little bit.
On Sunday, our company invited us to the CUBS game. Can't wait for that... haven't followed any Baseball Game since the end of last season.
But first... Frankie comes to CHI in for a few days... I'm so looking forward to seeing him. Monday we have a doc appointment again (man! Already a month past by)... just the monthly checkup stuff. We won't find out though if it's a boy or a girl because we don't want to do another ultrasound yet... so you still have to wait a little more ;).
