Lake Huron

Look at our little Chipmunk that lives under our house! I guess I have to do something about it since it's been very comfortable under there for a couple of years now. But he's just very cute isn't he?

Strawberry Picking with Chandler and some other friends... I don't take that many pictures anymore... I feel like people are over crazy now taking their phones out of their hands... snapping pics and in the meantime checking their emails and texts... I'm trying to phase out of that phase as I was guilty myself I have to admit...

A picture perfect day at the beach. We met our friend Sarah and her two kids on the beach in Port Huron which is located on Lake Huron and the water is so clear ... amazing. The beach was beautiful and the weather was great as long as the sun was out. I was a little cold but better than sweating like crazy on the beach ;)

After the beach we took the kids into Downtown Port Huron and after a great yummi ice cream together we went off to the Ice Museum by ourselves while Sarah already headed home. It was really cool. I'm glad we went... a super successful day trip. Port Huron is really cute but I'm very surprised it's totally not busy... a hidden treasure :)

Baltimore with Highschool Graduation and Strawberries

Last weekend we took off to Baltimore and had a great time with Paula, Grandma and PopPop as well as with Frank's Brother Jay and his and more family.
Here a goofy Henry... One morning Paula and I were chatting and enjoying a nice conversation and the kids were nicely in the basement playing... then when they came upstairs giggling we had to laugh so hard... it was just hilarious:
Christina's Graduation Party was scheduled for Sunday. The last of the big grand kids has graduated high school and our little ones start school this sept... so funny. Jay had this huge 'wall' dedicated for spray painting... the kids loved it. Zoe did the rainbow on the right hand corner and Henry this very bright dot left of it.... of course they couldn't handle those spray paints that well but they had a blast anyhow.... at night when we were gone already Jay put up some blue light and made it all light up for the disco fun that followed later that night for the teens.
The kids really enjoyed their time with their cousins. They were on the trampoline and in the pool most of the time :).
Yesterday Morning we went strawberry picking. The kids LOVE it... Zoe even asked me in the winter time when snow was on the ground when we can finally go strawberry picking *lol*... but now it is finally time to do it and I'll do it a couple of times until the end of the season...

I made some chocolate covered strawberries, they were soooooo delicious
Henry tried my healthy breakfast (fruits, plain yoghurt with some cereals on top)... unfortunately he didn't wanna eat it all and trying was enough :(... they don't want to eat the oatmeal anymore and Zoe is now down to one scrabbled egg each morning but could use more food... and Henry eats toast with butter... what other 'healthy' options are there? I refuse to start cereals with milk and nutella bread makes them CRAZY... I'm open to some suggestions for breakfast if there is anything I haven't thought of yet...

Zoe graduated Preschool

Somehow it hit me with surprise but Zoe just graduated Preschool (Kindergarten) yesterday. I thought it wasn't such a big deal and I was really looking forward to the summer without school schedule and driving back and forth.
Zoe had two very amazing teachers who I'm very thankful for. They made the start for Zoe's school time so amazing and I hope it continues like this for her. She loved going to school.
Now we'll have until Sept 8th without schedule and school drop off's and pick ups... I'm very excited for that. We'll make the most out of this time and then we'll see how Kindergarten (Vorschule) starts off for us. We'll also have our new exchange student Dustin by then living with us so it'll be a fun and busy time for us for the 'back to school' time.

May Pics

Aaaand, may 2015 has passed! Unbelievable... these last few months just flew by somehow. Summer is almost here. Zoe's last day of preschool is tomorrow then we're back to free scheduling and mind our own business all week long - YEAH.
Here we are celebrating Emma and Laura's 3rd Birthday - yes, they're 3 already!!! Time flies

I met my friend Stephanie from Chicago half way on the beach - awesome idea and super cool beach. The kids and we had a blast... def. going to do that again.

Henry and I dropped off Zoe at school and we walked by a cow and a sheep as well as a hen that were chilling at the elementary school playground - very odd but a must -see ;)
Splash Park Time is back

Celebrating Sophia and Annamarie's 3rd Birthday. Annamarie's dad made the castle cake himself... I was very impressed. Henry ate 2 pieces of course... he's a chocolate monster :)

Koston's 4th Birthday Party. I know... it seems like we've been celebrating A LOT in the last 2 weeks.... the kids had a blast.

After my Zumba class we went over to IKEA and took advantage of Kids eat free TUE :)... free coffee for me and my healthy 'meal' was only $3.17 Yeah... I know where to go ;)... hihihi...
