Halloween Cookies and last Frosty Boy Ice Cream for the season

Tomorrow is already Halloween, how that happened... I have no clue! The months are just going by so quick I can hardly keep up with it. Halloween is also the last day of Frosty Boy being open, they close the doors for the winter and will be back up in May. So i took the kids for the last ice cream for the season at Frosty Boy after we picked up Zoe from pre school.
Tomorrow Zoe's class has a pajama party (YES, the kids go to school in their pajamas... don't ask me... it's an american thing I will never adopt to but that's ok I don't have to *lol*)... I signed up to bring cookies so why not make it a fun project and decorate some Halloween cookies with our friends and tomorrow they'll be all gone from the house (which is good)... We had a lot of fun and the kids did very well decorating the pumpkin and ghosts cookies :)

Of course we had to eat one cookie each as a reward :)

Krabbelgruppe

Yesterday we visited our friends at 'Krabbelgruppe' (german group) and joined their craft session dressed up :). Zoe felt a little out of the loop since she was the oldest and all others were 2 and under besides Henry with his 3 yrs. We're just too old for this :(... but it was nice to see everybody.

Wasem Orchard

What an amazing Sunday afternoon. After we had our sister - skype - conference chat I took the kids out to an orchard I've never been and I swear... we ate the best donuts I've ever had in my entire life!!! OMG... They were amazing...
Before we dove into donuts *lol*... we picked some apples and spend some fun times together with Eva and her boys:

Pumpkin Time

Last FR we picked out our pumpkins at the Three Cedars Farm and this FR we carved them. I was sooo not looking forward to all the work it involves but so looking forward to the fun the kids would have with it ;). I know very weird but it's a joy to see their faces light up so it's worth it the hard work ;). But I was very surprised... this year it actually didn't feel so hard on me than it normally did. We had a great time carving and I guess I got the hang of it now and I carved Zoe and Henry's pumpkin without big trouble and we all had a great time.

Today we invited over for our first Halloween Party. Zoe actually asked to have a Halloween Party so I delivered ;). This time it came with a few 'tasks' to all invited... everybody had to dress up and if it was just a painted face or a funny hat or else... every effort counts. Also everybody had to bring a dish to share and if possible something halloween themed and it was an amazing outcome... it was a lot of fun and delicious. Lots of screaming, running and crazy young kids and great adult conversations :)
