Summer Fun

Henry is funny! We go places and the first thing he does is having a snack!!! Sits there for 10 min at least watching the other kids have fun and he eats *lol*. Cracks me up every time...
My German Colored Nails :)
Snacks are empty!!!
Henry: "Momma, do you have more snacks at home?"
Me: "Yes"
Henry: "Can I have some when we get home?"
Hahaha... funny guy

Today we met with the Germans at another playground. Much fun, Zoe remembered this play ground with the stream from last year and she was asking me already a bunch of times when we finally go back there and today we did :).

My little man!!!!!! He doesn't want to wear shorts or t-shirts always the long sleeves and long pants! So in the car I only had shorts or t-shirts as a spare outfit (as a mom you always have spare outfits laying around in the car)... so finally I got a picture in a summer outfit *yeah* :)

Bounce House

Sometime this week we went to the Xtreme Bounce Zone again and the kids had a blast of course ;).

Next day a play date in the yard with friends of ours.

And then we went strawberry picking the next day which was great. Unfortunately Zoe fell sick afterwards. She got the same virus that Henry had a couple of days earlier but only a very quick one (luckily)

I made some strawberry shortcakes with all the strawberries but I should've done more sooner since I think the rest of the strawberries are not good anymore :(

Mosquito Season! Here we go...

Ok, I guess I didn't have time to really do it! I was really looking forward to writing about the whole story and how it all started and what we're up to here in Michigan. Long story short (since the time just doesn't allow it)... we started our own company :). We actually get rid of Mosquitoes in South East Michigan and business is booming!!! We haven't anticipated such an amazing successful start at all but we're working very hard with an amazing crew working around the crazy weather servicing lots of customers in South East Michigan. Who would've thought? :) I know it's a crazy idea for the Germans to even thing this business model would be of any success but it really does. We're very happy and doing our best to keep the customer service up and I really enjoy my new 'job' as the 'Director of Operations' :).
Maybe in the winter time I'll have more time to write all about it. You can check out our website: www.MosquitoOne.com or like us on Facebook, we're everywhere as you can imagine. It's a lot of fun and I really enjoy working with our team and trying to keep up with the huge demand of treatment requests.

Not to forget the kids... they LOVE the 'Mosquito Bite Truck' as they call it :). Especially Henry loves driving in it. Zoe not so much, it 'smells' too much... the new leather and new materials I guess. A brand new Truck F150 a men's dream I guess... it's fun driving it but I'm still preferring my minivan over everything else :).
The other day Zoe requested an aquarium :). And Momma delivered *hihi*... jup... we still have time for fun stuff of course.
Before bedtime a little round of splish splash garden time

In the mornings the little baby rabbit is always visiting our patio. Sometimes we get a glimpse of him.
Found a new splash park, brand new and AWESOME!!! The kids are having a ton of fun and you can stay at this playground forever...

After the splash park we just went over to the playground... all one place...

Before Dinner... a quick trip to Tim Hortens. They just remodeled their inside, since I only go through the 'drive through' I was curious how the inside looks now... and the kids discovered the 'sprinkle donut holes'... oh what a mess!!! I prefer the chocolate ones over the sprinkle ones *lol*
Lunch Playdate at Adelheid's place... I blew up the kiddie pool and even though we never filled it with water, the kids had a ton of fun with it! So funny!

Summer!

We officially have started the summer *woot woot*. I'm still dressed pretty warm due to all the AC over here ;). And the other day I went out with pants that are 3/4 length and what did I do? I burned myself :(... what a bummer!!! I was wondering what hurt so much on my leg and then when I looked closer... it was burned :(... Of course I forgot to put on sunscreen onto my leg. I only put sunscreen on my upper arms and neck (luckily) because my underarms were quite red as well. The sun is so aggressive... you can't even go outside without putting on sunscreen and it wasn't even that hot that day. It was the best weather ever, a light breeze, sun out but not too hot. Learned my lesson I guess. The kids don't go out without any sunscreen on of course and Henry makes it pretty easy for me since he refuses to wear shorts or TShirts. I guess he pulls off the same that Zoe did when we changed to fall. She would not wear any long sleeves or long pants *lol*... these kids are funny. It's so nice to have a minivan. You can just pack it up and have everything you need with you at all times for all types of activities you feel like doing.
After the day out with friends at Greenfield Village. We got 'rained out' but the kids didn't want to go home and we went inside the museum for a little bit longer.
Splash Park

We're very very busy over here... I will write a long blog post over the weekend to tell you all what we've been up to for the last year or so and what it turned into *lol*... I really miss keeping in touch with a lot of people but I know that this busy time will die down a little again and it's just this crazy right now.

Baby Shower

Adelheid and I organized a baby shower for a German Friend who expects her second one but hasn't had a baby shower for the first one so we figured it's needed to throw a baby shower now :).
It was a huge success :) :) :)

The cake was just amazing... she was very surprised and amazed by it too :)

Overall a big success and everybody had a GREAT time :)
