Guest and New Haircut

I'm helping out a friend and watch her girl once a week. We had our first day together yesterday and it was pretty interesting to see... Zoe and Henry are still one team and not used to have another sibling around however Sophia is also more focused on an adult than wanting to play with the other kids... I'm sure it'll mingle up soon and they had already a lot of fun together but it was very interesting to see the three together and it wasn't bad at all... what's one more? ;)
Coloring

Today I took the little ones to the mall. I had to get some mall errands done and of course we had our cookie treat as well as play time in the play area

And I figured I give this kids hair cut shop a try since it was really needed for Henry. Zoe enjoyed a free ride in the taxi while watching TV. Henry didn't like having his hair cut, he's actually easier when our friend comes over and does it in our kitchen. But this was easy, no planning to do and done :)

My little handsome dude :)...

Ice Festival and Henry Ford

On Sunday I took the kids to the Ice Festival in Plymouth. Unfortunately we went pretty late to the event and it wasn't that wowing anymore to look at. Next time I'm sure to go earlier to the event. Here is one semi melting dragon *lol*.
We were supposed to meet a bunch of others but only one couple with their twin girls showed up. It was a nice time though. Henry really enjoyed his german 'sleeping bag'... I got lots of eyes looking at it.
Today after the German Music Class I took the kids to the Henry Ford Museum. We had a great time, you could tell that I had them skip nap time but they were pretty good holding up and even in the car ride home Henry didn't nap so he was super duper tired when bed time came around :).

 For Opa :)
It's pretty neat... even it being a museum there is so much fun stuff for the kids to do. I just love how much you can do with the kids out here.

Hit and Run in the Sub

We had some fun creating these little butterflies with PlayMais. The whole time I was thinking about of what the smell of these things remind me when you 'glue' them together with water :)... pretty awesome stuff and the answer is: Flips *YUM*... I almost ate these yummi smelling things *lol*...

Our new adventure dinner: 'Louisiana Style Shrimp' from the Crock Pot but it wasn't like 'awesome, I have to make that again'... more like 'yeah, we had it once and we're moving on to the next recipe'... sad but ok...
after dinner it hit me... Frank watched Football, the kids were kind of interested in hanging out with Frank... I'm free :)... I went and got lots of shopping done where you need time and no kids to check out things, look around and take your time. It was super awesome and of course my delicious French Vanilla Latte wasn't missing :).

At 11:35PM we had two accidents in the subdivision (probably one driver). I was already in bed when I heard squealing tires and a crash and again squealing tires... came downstairs to check with Frank, then saw a man running through our backyard. I was shaking!!! That was super scary... apparently drunk driver who got into an accident and ran off. Hope to hear the whole story soon but most of our neighbors go ballistic that this is happening in our sub!
Here you can see the view from our bedroom, the police was already on the scene and you can see the foot prints in the snow of the yard... urgh... don't want that to happen again.

New Screen

I finally got my cracked screen fixed. My laptop screen was basically broken for over a year now. When I first noticed it it was somewhat ok to deal with... then you're getting used to it and you're holding out soooo long until it's basically time to really get it fixed now or you eventually won't be able to view anything anymore... got it taken care of. Had to backup all my data (that part was why it took me so long but I finally took the time and moved everything over to an external hard drive)... they told me it would take 3-5 days but they ended up fixing it within a couple of hours!!! That was pretty awesome. Even for this half day I could tell how much I missed my laptop :). Me and my apple products... we're married I guess.
So you've noticed that we've gotten LOTS of snow... it was so bad outside that school was closed 4 days this week. The streets were still a sheet of ice on WED but I couldn't take it anymore and had to leave the house. With an average speed of 20 miles per hr we left the house in the morning and were back home for bedtime. Same on THU and FR, we needed to get around people and it felt sooo good :). I've never experienced a storm like this. I think this was the worst so far in my life. I was more worried about loosing power than anything else. I made sure we had enough food in the house for a week (that's my normal plan anyway) and we survived pretty good I would think.
Here some shots from our last week. On SAT I needed to get into the mall and enjoy the american shopping. I postphoned my trip to the mall three times until I actually went and enjoyed a great mall shopping... it was so great I didn't wanna go back home *lol*... after that we basically were stuck home for 3 full days (which I knew would come) so I enjoyed every moment of that little shopping trip and got a few things I wanted to get and took care of my apple visit :). Zoe and Henry enjoyed their mall cookie :)
Mall Play Time

Just the beginning...
Naptime... but Zoe would not play in the playroom...
A nice stew on these cold days was a great way of enjoying dinner. Baking Cookies to overcome boredom.
FINALLY... out of the house again. Playing at My Urban Toddler

and to the mall again :)

and meeting friends enjoying a new facility: The Jungle Gym
Zoe wanted me to take a picture of that beautiful decorated tree outside in Janos' Subdivision
WED to FR we basically were booked out from breakfast to dinner and it was so needed :)... we got to see Janos twice. Zoe and Janos were basically making us see us two days in a row (which we totally don't mind). And today we checked out a pre school / day care for the kids that we really liked. I think it's time for Zoe to go to school and explore another area than hanging out with me all day long. Henry is totally ready as well though I don't know if we start both at the same time or just one and then maybe over the summer both... we'll have to see. It's just 5 min from our house (if even...) so it's very great located. We'll see, I'll keep you posted.

-20C !!!

I should've checked the temperature before we went outside this morning... I was wondering why the cold had this bite to it! After we went inside I checked and it was -20degrees C!!! Wow!!! But we had our beautiful sun and this amazing blue sky and no snowing today however starting SA evening we'll get up to a foot of snow again apparently. We're just enjoying and staying close to home.
Since we were home all day mind as well get to the cleaning ;). First I had some decorating to do. I got to take some of my moms collection items with me. She collected the houses later on and now they're having a nice place in our home. So enjoying these houses :). Time to get the house decorated little by little...
Doesn't he look big??? :( my little munchkin grows up way too fast. He talks like a waterfall now too!!! Now i have two talking ones... Never a dull moment in this house *lol*
