SNOW :)

And this is what I like most about Michigan... you have the hot summer days, the amazing Indian Fall and a great winter with SNOW followed by the beautiful spring and everything is showing up in the most amazing green there is... I just LOVE the seasons and yes we have them here :). The kids are having a blast, I try to get out a couple of times a day with them since they're getting cold after a while it's better to go a few times a day shorter than once ;). I wore them out already at 830AM... time to get Henry a snow shovel because he so badly wants to help but we only have these big brooms and shovels... Zoe enjoys to find all sorts of formations of snow and puts them in the garage to 'keep' them... and is super mad when we get back out that it's gone... I think she didn't get it 100% yet that snow melts away ;)... but we'll get there... here from our first time yesterday

Our delicious dinner. BBQ Rips without BBQ *lol*...
Evening Walk... Henry was upset when we went inside that he didn't get to play in the snow like Zoe :(... oh well...

This morning... more snow... it's sooooo cool

Henry's 2nd Birthday!

A little bit late!!! I knew I had these pics on the camera for a while but I always forgot to download them bc I wanted to wait until I download and upload at the same time or they'll get lost... here now a throwback to my little boy's 2nd birthday Sep 26th. He had sooo much fun :)

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all my Readers :). I honestly didn't make it *lol*... I went to bed at 11PM and had a good night sleep.
Here some pics from our past week. Somebody was super excited to be back home in his country ;)... can you tell who that was?
Me on the other hand had a very hard time adjusting to being back home. Maybe it was that I've been gone so long coupled with not being in Germany for over 4 yrs and having such an amazing time. It's been very busy visiting/ seeing soo many people and I was on the go the whole time but it truly was amazing seeing almost everybody - yes unfortunately I didn't manage to see them all :(. The kids had so much fun as well and now being back home I feel soooo guilty for polluting our environment so much while the little country of Germany is trying so hard to be environmentally friendly... the USA is somewhat trying but not nearly as much and USA compared to Germany is much bigger and it just seems to me not fair how such a small part of the world is trying so hard and a big part of the world is not.
Anyway ;), I had an AMAZING time and would've easily added another week or two or three *lol*... miss my Germans big times... it was so great to be so close to everybody and enjoy family and friends to the fullest.
Thanks so much to Meike and Dad for having us in their home and having the most amazing vacation ever :). I hope to be able to do this trip again before Zoe goes to school.
Early Riser, talking like a waterfall...
Having fun coloring...
FINALLY... Zoe was so excited when she saw the snow outside and couldn't get out there fast enough. We're expected to get about 5inches of snow by Thursday (however much that is...) so it'll be a blast time for the kids here...

Our New Years Eve Dinner: Catfish with Green Beans and Potato Gratin. Frank was excited about the food and also Zoe and Henry were just shoving it down... Happy Moments for me ;)
We tried taking a walk after dinner to take a look at our wonderful light up houses in the subdivision... but we only saw two great houses before Zoe gave in. One of the jet lag items is that the kids are WAY too tired in the evening that we have crying kids all evening long. As soon as they lay in bed they're sound asleep ;).
This house got second place. We love this one, it's different and almost next door to us so we see it lots :)
This was the winner last year and the owners picked the winner of this year. Hopefully we'll be able to view a few more houses tonight ;).
