Little Man is much better

Henry is doing well again, I would say he's over it... he started drinking normally again and we didn't have to give him any fever reducing medication since last night. However the last two nights I barely got any sleep and I really hope for a great night tonight. *crossmyfingers*.
This weekend was all about relaxing and low key. Zoe is just full of energy and is talking away... it's difficult for Frank to understand her sometimes since she's saying many german words. For me it's easy since I know both languages so I can put it together easier. I have the advantage anyways since I'm with her all day and try to talk german all day to her... She's pretty good in talking english to Frank but sometimes she says german words as well. Specially if I'm around or we've hung out all day or she just talked to me... German rocks :).
We're watching the European soccer games here as well. I love it. Today even Frank joined us with Italy against England and Man, what a great game... we were sitting here on hot charcoal. I wanted England to win until Frank mentioned that we have to root for Italy since he's half italian and that makes the kids quarter italian... ok ok... but THU Germany is going to win against Italy anyways and the kids are half german which overrules the quarter italian anyways *lol*... Frank always says that Henry looks typically German *YEAH*... I have to take more pics again... come next week, hopefully with more rest in me... I need a real good night sleep please.

Little Man is sick

Henry was acting different already for a couple of days, more cranky and not as happy as he normally is... THU night when I brought him to bed he had a temperature of 100.2 F (38C) which isn't bad and a little tylanol to reduce the fever and I was hoping it'll be gone the next day... well, he woke up in the morning with 102.9F (40C)... all alarm bells went off and I called my friend what to do... luckily the next tylanol dose brought it back again to 100.5F. I went shopping, got everything inside, ready to cook lunch and checked Henry's temperature again because he was crying too much for being normal and it was 103.5F!!! I called the doc immediately if I can come in and within 15 min we were in the doc office.
Our pediatrician (Kinderarzt) is just awesome. Every time I went to my doctor I got antibiotics and also Zoe but now being back at the pediatrician he tried finding the cause of his pain and he found a little blister on his tonsil which could've cause the pain. He suggested to use Advil (another over the counter fever reducer). If it wouldn't be way better by SAT he'll call in a prescription for antibiotics. The advil took down the fever to 'gone' but every time the next dose is ready (within 6-8 hrs) it seems to be back at 102F :( at least last night. The next dose of Advil + cold leg wraps brought it down again and this morning he didn't feel hot at all... he slept in our bed because we were so worried and I wanted to be right there in case anything comes up... needless to say, I barely got any sleep. You can see here, I was sleeping on the side where my pillow is laying... but the guys were very comfortable there *lol*.
Hoping today will be a better day for my little guy. He was even shaking (shivering) last night because he probably was cold from the heat. It's horrible to see your child being sick... everybody without kids, enjoy this time when you don't have to worry about little souls. It's amazing how much you can worry about these little munchkins.
Zoe is waking up now... gonna check on my men upstairs too ;)... maybe Henry is waking up so we can start our day and take our walk :). So far I've walked 6 out of 7 days each week :)

Henry Ford Museum

Yesterday we met with Sylwia (A Polish Lady who speaks German and lives now in America) with her daughter Mila (same age than Zoe). We had a great time, we've met last year a couple of times but then just didn't make it happen to meet again and now we FINALLY met again and had again a great time. We'll make sure this time not another year passes until we meet again ;).
This was very interesting... the way of transporting a child back in the days and nowadays
Zoe was super excited about all the cars...

At home... I mean she comes up with ideas!!! She is always super excited when she sees animals... doesn't matter which ones... we had a fly (Fliege) and she was eager to catch it... so she got her chair, climbed on top of it and tried catching it with her cup. Later at night she actually got it with her bare hands *lol*
Chilling out in her rocking chair
In the afternoon we went outside in our hot 36Degrees C!!! I don't know what I was thinking but the kids had fun and I enjoyed this lovely weather

At night we had a great Ladies' Night with our subdivision... everybody had a very good time and I was soooooo happy to get out by myself. I really needed it and enjoyed it to the fullest :). We have the best neighborhood!!! I tell you...

Fussball

And this is how we're winning... :)
Since we've put her shoes up high in the cabinets so Zoe can't get to them herself anymore... she decided to find a way to get her shoes... the little step help she had wasn't enough so she went into the kitchen and pushed the kitchen chair over the carpet through the living room into the laundry room to get more height! This girl is too much *lol*... even if we're outside all day, as soon as we're home she wants to go outside again ;). That's good though.... always fun with these little munchkins

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

FIRST... Happy Father's Day to all the amazing Dad's out there. I was trying very hard to have Zoe say: 'Happy Father's Day'... she ended up with: 'Happy Birthday Daddy' :)...

Zoe loved the bus ride home... she loved the whole ball game... even in bed she was still saying 'I wanna go to base ball'... so cute.
Finally some pics with Frank and the kids ;)... you sure must've missed them tons ;)

Book Store and Ball game

This morning i started again with a great 3 mile walk and then the kids and I went to Barnes & Noble and joined story time with an appearance of Curious George afterwards

Zoe didn't wanna take a picture with him but he wanted Henry to take a picture with him *lol*

Then we tried nap time but instead the two cuddled on the couch for a few minutes before we headed out to the office to meet with our coworkers and go together to a ball game (baseball). Of course the kids both fell asleep in the 15 min car ride to the office *lol*

The bus ride to Detroit Downtown

Zoe was excited, her third ball game in her little life

Mr. Henry's 1st ballgame outside the belly. Last year we went with Zoe and pregnant with Henry :).

Henry would not fall asleep in the carrier and was fighting it until i put him in the stroller and wusch he was out in a second. Now i'm super bored! Glad mu phone has internet so i can post :). Frank has Zoe and i'm sitting here with henry since i can't go back to the seat with the stroller unfolded... I might take a little stroll now ;). The game is almost over anyways ;).

The Zoo

Today we went to the Zoo and had a great time with Jen and Grace. It was already very warm in the morning but I froze a couple of water bottles and everything was great. Very delicious gourmet sandwiches a la Rona :)..., tomato / mozzarella salad, carrots, hard boiled eggs... YAM... I always make us such a nice lunch that I really look forward to lunching 'in' than buying all the burger and fries stuff! And it's fun to bring your own.

I was so worried about Henry getting a sun burn that I had him wear long clothes that were very light though... poor guy... BUT none of the kids got a sun burn :) *YEAH MOMS*
Zoe was so excited when I told her last night that we'll go to the zoo. I told her at bed time...
Me: "Zoe, we'll go to the zoo tomorrow"
Z: "The zoo?"
Me: "Yes, do you remember, last time we went with Grandma and the elephant was pooping and peeing"
Z: *CRACKING UP* "The pooping Elephant, yes"
Me: "Ok, so you have to go to sleep now so we can go to the zoo tomorrow"
Z: "Ok"

5 min later... she got up again... I go in, she walks toward the door:

Z: "Are we going to the zoo now?"
*LOL*... kids

Well, she was sooo excited to see the 'pooping elephant' and every animal she saw before we 'FINALLY came to the elephants she was asking about the 'Pooping elephant' and then Finally when she saw them she was very very happy

Grace and Henry slept the second half of the time in the zoo... they were knocked out *lol*
Henry's new most favorite toy: Zoe's doll house! He just LOVES it... even yesterday he was cranky next to me, cuddling with me until I put him in the play room in front of his toy... I've heard not one peep but one happy boy playing with the dolls *lol*... He's growing way too fast :(
