Helena - the Capitol of Montana

Today we ventured out to go on a train ride to view some interesting sites via tour guide. We also stopped at Dana's work and met her coworkers.

West-Side (Mansions) of Helena :)

That little Dude!!! He was so exhausted from all the fun we're having he took a power nap on the train. I have to admit, I totally enjoyed it and it reminded me of the days when the kids were younger... my baby...
The Fire Tower
Inside the Capitol

Dinner...
Henry made a new friend... Midnight. She comes to Henry and loves receiving all the cuddles and love from him :)

Glad she's too big to fit in the suitcase or Henry would probably consider packing her and take her home *lol*... the kids even watched the cat bring in her prey (a bird) and watched her 'killing' it... yikes... but I guess it is very exciting. The kids totally enjoy the stay and Doug, Dana and I get to play so many games... it's really relaxing and we totally enjoy each others' company... cannot wait what tomorrow brings.

Downtown

TUE we went downtown to check out this cute little town... it is a very beautiful and clean city
Playground fun
Breakfast for Champions... Waffles

The FireTower

One store had a chess game located in front of it so we ended up playing a round of chess. Dana played with Sophia (Dana - brain, Sophia - moved) and I played with Zoe. The kids had a lot of fun making our 'moves' for us and it actually was a pretty fun and great game

Henry was a bit bored but he enjoyed it a little bit too

Helena actually has little 'Selfie-Marker' I guess I didn't do it right because the newsboy figure should be in the back and I clearly block the view of the statue! Oh well... but that's how 'modern' this little town is ;)
ICE CREAM...

Afterwards the kids cooled down in the yard

It was a pretty hot day... the house was 86F at the end of the day. A picture for my hubby... I totally enjoy this 'heat' inside the home :). But it gets really cold here at night that I dress very warm in the mornings. In Michigan, the nights normally don't cool down. This weather here is very very nice.
After the kids went to bed we enjoyed some strawberry daiquiri or something like that... alcohol ;)... while playing games
Morning Sun
Today we drove about 1.5 hrs south to the Lewis and Clark Cavern and it was really cool. Henry complained about all the walking towards the cave which was only a 3/4 mile hike but it went up so it had a bit of a workout in it.

Once he was in the cave he was really amazed though... he never complained one bit inside and Zoe and Henry totally enjoyed this amazing cave. Sophia as well of course.

We did it!!! The way back to the car wasn't that big of a deal. We were very proud of the kids how well they managed this hike. They each picked out something special from the gift shop and we had a happy trip back home.

Playing games after dinner... Settlers of Catan :).
