Enjoying the sun

Greenfield Village was next on our list:

Of course a pool day as well
And some fun times with our neighbors grandchild who was visiting

Fun with Friends

We made it home safe and sound. I think I got a migraine during the flight from AMS to DTW... I never had one but it was very annoying. Luckily the kids did AMAZING. They're def. great travel kids :)
The next day we met our friends at the splash park to catch up and have fun with our locals
The weekend after our arrival we had already our next birthday party. This time Austin turned 3 years old! Amazing how fast they all grow... crazy

Flight back 'home'

Sorry... I somehow didn't want to find time to blog in the last few weeks. Reality has me back and school starts soon... I cannot believe Zoe will start kindergarten already! But I think it'll be just fine. Zoe seems to be very ready for school and Henry too even though he says he doesn't want to go to pre-school I think he'll be fine as well.
Here some last pictures of our Time in Germany. Zoe and her cousin Leia... gosh how much I miss that little smiley Girl

My Dad serving one scoop of ice cream!!! Sita and I both wanted walnut so he gave us the leftovers and of course we didn't articulate what kind of 'scoop' we wanted... so he took the smallest scoop he had and was cracking up on the way to the dining room until we saw what he was laughing about already... we were cracking up... it was fun!
Jup... almost every night I drank some sort of alcohol... it was so much fun just hanging out and chat and enjoy the patio or enjoy company in the living room... we had a great time
Time to fly 'home'... Dana was supposed to fly out at 640am. Well, when we came to the airport at 8am Dana was back in the airport terminal again trying to rebook her flight since it got cancelled :(... they rebooked her to the next day so my Dad and Meike took them back home again after dropping us off so they got to spend another day with Meike and Dad and had a smooth flight back home the next day while we left like planned.
Bremen Airport

Through security... ready to take off in Bremen
Amsterdam... ready to board

Aaaannd, we're on the way to Frank

Last family Breakfast

Every morning we had a delicious loaded breakfast. And on Sunday one last time we had as many around the table as possible for a late breakfast.

The cousins had an amazing time. Next time when the cousins are together little Leia will be running around with them for sure.

Jela's Wedding Party

SAT we partied again. It was time to renew the vows for Jela and Phil in the coziness of their yard. Jela did an amazing job decorating.

Food please!

Yum Yum

Ice Cream and Graft

On FR Morning we went to the second hand store for kids and got some great fun things for the kids and afterwards went to the ice cream parlor of course :)... YUM YUM

My old 'middle school'... now it has a gate in front of it! Wonder why?! Crazy how time changes...
In the afternoon we took a walk into the graft, Delmenhorster City and also fed some ducks. It was a lot of fun

They have a new playground (new to us... I don't remember that there was a playground)

Unfortunately we couldn't get to the ruins of the castle which the kids were so excited to see. Dana told them all about it at breakfast and the story of it and all we could show them was this model how it was back in the days.
Saving Money... three monkeys on one ride *lol*

And the little man got a new toy.. remote control Lighting McQueen
