Happy 1st Birthday to our little man

*cry*... one year!!! My baby boy is one year old :(... ok ok... just can't believe it, now I don't have a baby anymore, he's becoming a little toddler with one year old. No more saying: He's 11 months old... no, now he's: one year old. Time has gone by sooo fast and look what happens within a short year? When he was just born:
And now having fun almost walking and enjoying life. We're sooo grateful for having these two little munchkins in our life. It's so much fun seeing them grow up and seeing that Zoe and Henry have each other.... love each other, don't like each other, tease each other.... but always carrying for each other... it's so precious.
So... busy day ahead... have to do a lot of baking and cooking for our birthday party tonight :). I'm baking black forest cake and cupcakes and home made pizza as well. Maybe some home made mac'n cheese... I'm afraid we won't have enough food but I'll decide later... the kitchen is ready for me to go wild  and so am I :). We'll have a great birthday today :)

Another busy week ahead

My little munchkin went up the 'stairs' of the slide all by himself!!! It's so funny how he is... he goes up and waits until I 'see' it so he can proudly show it... so funny.... and then he's sooo proud of it. Or when we leave the gates open and he sees it he secretly goes upstairs and kind of waits until we discover him going up the stairs and then once we notice he tries to climb up quicker so we have to chase him... too funny this little man. He's having a lot of fun... he's standing most of the time unless he wants to get from one room to the other quick than you can see him crawl crazy quick around... can't believe he'll be one year old in two days :(...
Yesterday I took the kids to the pumpkin factory. They just opened yesterday so it was still a little low key but the kids had a lot of fun and the heyride wasn't missing either :). It was funny, we all sat in the wagon and the lady in the tractor left... without us... *lol*... the hanger was not attached to the tractor. We were hollering and waving and then she noticed we were still standing... we were all laughing.

Lots of cool things to do around here in fall :). That's what I love so much... you can do different things all year around... there is always something you can do.

Music Class

And here we have a typical morning nowadays *lol*... since the weather changes we need to wear long jeans... Yeah, that doesn't work very well with Zoe: 'I wanna wear small pants'!!! Every single morning the same old fight but somehow I get it managed that she's wearing long pants. I guess he is like Frank and just loves the hot weather... she'd more likely wear a bikini all day long if I'd let her and play in the water *hihi*
Yesterday we started music class again. What a blast... Zoe was so excited (a little too excited) and Henry cruised along as always and enjoyed it as well. He was super tired after being up and moving all morning and fell right asleep as soon as we headed home

So cute, she was making lunch for me and brought the 'hot' pot with gloves on because it was so 'hot' ;)

Yesterday I made my mother in laws meatballs :). *YEAH*... I managed them perfectly and they taste soooo delicious! Frank loved them :)
I had to eat one of course... that's the good thing about being the cook, you will always be the first to try :)
In the afternoon we went outside and cleaned up a little... Henry always has a blast moving the decorative stone into the watering can! Oh boy... but it's pretty cool... Henry just always finds something to play and he really plays... I always think he's way too advanced for his age and I can't remember Zoe playing so much at his age but oh well, maybe I forgot!

As you can see, the battle about the 'small pants' I lost during the day ;). And her beloved rain boots she loves so much came in handy yesterday since we had a good little storm right after we were done playing outside.

Football Sunday... not for me...

Hope my son won't become a football fan! Here is a potential shot that looks promising :)
Since the football season started I better leave the house on sundays since the games will be on. Buuuuuuhhhhhh... When I was living in Chicago I 'just' started to understand and kind of 'enjoy' watching baseball... I'm not in the mood to start all over for football plus I just can't understand how you can sit in front of the TV for hours... literally hours... *boring*... I watch the play offs but that's about it. I'd rather enjoy fun stuff with the kids :)

Here we go again :)... Toledo Zoo :). It was just beautiful outside and my friend Silke with the two boys will leave the area to move back overseas so we're trying to fit as many play dates in as we can in her last couple of days ;). We had a great time at the zoo with them... here three tigers:
The Aquarium... I'll miss that one :(... who knows where we'll be when they open up again in 2015!!!
Baby Lucas
Laying down in a hole...
... relaxing
Chillen at the Sea lions: Alex and Zoe
The Train Ride through the Safari
They loved it

The closest we were able to see the giraffes ever:

Henry is enjoying the corn box

Three Cedar Farm

Pumpkin Time arrived... yes and with that all the cool Pumpkin Patches and Farms open up for their pure fun for young and old. Last year I've been a couple of times, I 'just' learned about these fun places. This year I did better and started early in the season to go and visit these places. This place had a sandbox filled with corn... how fun!!!

Next time I need to bring cash!!! I've spent it all at the mom2mom sale in the morning *lol*... Zoe fed the goats with corn instead... creative!!!

Not the best pics but Silke took some for me with her camera... (will update later)... Zoe had a lot of fun at the hay ride :)...

Goofing around
Always eating... this young man is growing faster than weeds!!!
