Another wonderful day

Erst einmal... vielen lieben Dank fuer all die lieben Kommentare. Also nochmal VIELEN LIEBEN DANK :).
So last night I did as the nurse suggested and I set the alarm for 430AM and breast fed Zoe. I'm telling you, she's adjusted to the milk so great and is sucking it all out. I'm feeling much better now and I'm not leaking all over the place anymore *happy*. It all seems to work out so quick here... amazing. And the idea about waking her up instead of waiting for her to wake up is also the best thing ever because she was so mellow and quiet, didn't cry at all... and went right back to sleep again when I put her back into her bassinet. And it wasn't bad at all to get woken up during the night. It was just awesome and she drank a lot as well. It seems she can't get enough of the milk nowadays.
We kind of have a good routine going here... it's great. And now while Frank is snoozing for an hour I'm already getting up and taking my time in the bathroom, take a shower, getting ready... so what about the mystery about new moms that won't be able to take a shower before 3PM??? That hasn't happened here at all yet ;). I'm sooooo happy, we're just doing great and we're so lucky having such a great baby.
Now some pics for you guys. Here after our night feeding: fed, changed and wrapped up to go to bed again:
This morning... time to wake up little girl ;)
Done feeding, ready to get changed again and almost falling asleep again. My little sweet elephant girl ;). These baby outfits are just too cute :).
Alright, now I have to call the insurance for my maternity leave and also fix my emails finally! I can't send any emails anymore. Everything is broken here... outgoing from my Iphone, outgoing from my laptop! Urgh...
@Rene: MOIN MOIN, ich werde es heute heile machen, damit ich endlich wieder moinen kann... habe es nicht vergessen, bin nur gerade unfaehig emails rauszusenden.

Day 4

Today we went to the pediatrician (Kinderarzt) and had Zoe's first check up since the hospital. She's a very healthy baby :) (of course, didn't expect anything else) and we made a very good timing as well. It's not that easy to get everybody ready in time! Time management is the first way to success. Well... since Zoe slept all the way through the night she was eating a lot this morning but we were ready to go on time and 15 min. early in the doc office (*proud*).
Yes, Zoe slept through, can you imagine? She just didn't wanna go to bed last night. Somehow she just wanted to be with us only and not alone. So we ended up letting her sleep in our bed and she loved that! Took her only three days to move into our bed! She's an amazing baby! We're soooo lucky :).
Here our setup in the bedroom, the cute bassinet she's sleeping in:
sooo cute, before the fight of not wanting to go to sleep:
... I think she's thinking about something, at least it looks like it:
This morning after feeding a little bit... totally passed out:
One picture of me and her :). Somebody requested that one ;)... I'm sooo happy :)
Finally... she's out of her koma and wakes up. I told her I'm gonna blog that ;). I let her scream a little bit so she's eating good because she hasn't eaten at all overnight and falling asleep while eating is not an option this time ;)
The nurse wasn't happy about me not feeding her overnight!!! I told her that it's not working feeding a sleeping baby!!! Hallo? The nurse told me to do workout with her legs and arms to wake her up at least once during the night!
In the waiting room... sleeping peacefully in her car seat...
Her jacket has rabbit ears *lol*... it's the cutest jacket I've ever seen... will show better pictures later on of it... you have to see it.
Yeah... that was a busy day. This afternoon I took off ;). Grandma and Daddy were watching Zoe and I took some time to myself and went to the mall, went shopping for some things and enjoyed some 'me' time.

Now some other questions I got in the comments I wanna answer:

If we got adjusted to parenthood: In my eyes I think there wasn't an adjustment needed at all! We came home and right away we lived the way you normally live with a baby! I have no idea but it's just there... naturally... and we love it :).

If I love being a mom? YES... 1000%... it's the best thing there is. She's so much fun just watching her, getting to know her habits, feeding her, taking care of her. I just love it. Today I had a 'mom down' you could say! You know when we go to bed we all say 'good night' to her and also her grand ma :)... it's just so much fun. This week Frank is working from home so Frank's mom was watching Zoe so I could take some time to myself. But the sad thing is that my mom will never be able kiss her 'good night'... or watch her for a while, seeing her growing up... (well, I hope she's watching from somewhere...) I don't know... just today it all came up in me. I'm so glad Frank's mom can watch her growing up and being a grandma to her. She enjoys Zoe so much, it's so good to see it and I'm so grateful for that.

Tomorrow we will get a couple of inches of snow or so... well... shopping is all done and I could use a day just hanging around...

Day 3

Well... Zoe is kind of getting used to the milk and oh boy did I get a lot... my body probably thought I got twins or something!!! This morning when we were waking up I was wondering who peed in our bed!!! But then... we're both old enough to NOT pee in the bed and also the spots were way to high! Well, I was just cracking up... Frank came back to bed and I asked him: "Babe, is your back wet?" He said: "Yes, I have no idea why!!!" I was just cracking up more... oh my god! We had milk all over the bed... I hope this will all level out in a while.
The other good thing is that we already figured out a routine with our sleeping... we really get a lot of sleep here. Amazing. Her feeding time is aroud 8PM when we're still hanging around in the living room and she'll go back to sleep afterwards, then we wait until she's up again... hopefully around 11PM and I feed her again, we bring her to bed and then she wakes up again around 5AM for her next feeding and then her next feeding is again around 8AM!!! It is AMAZING.
And here some pics of Zoe, yesterday night before we all went to bed:
This morning 8AM when we were trying to eat something, right Zoe?
"Hae? I should eat now? I don't know yet... I have to check if I'm really hungry first... let's see..."
"Hhhmmm... I'd rather look around... you know!"
Succeeded... Zoe was being fed and is taking a nap again!
I love the outfit so much, I just had to show the whole outfit ;)
"Hhhhmmm, I love hanging out with daddy":

First full day at home

Fresh and clean again:Our little worm:

This is how Zoe is waking up:

I love my thumb!!!

Proof again... little thumb sucker:

Zoe comes home

YEAH :)... they released us around 330PM (exactly 36 hrs after I gave birth) and we were on our way home. I'm telling you... hopitals!!! I had to be wheeled out in a wheel chair (safety reasons). I wanted to WALK out, I'm very capable of walking and there wasn't even a question for me to not walk out of the hospital... but their rules... and I had to follow :(... Frank had a funny time with all the rules I didn't want to follow... he shot back my QSHE work that he thinks is stupid in some ways and I always make him try to see that the rules have to be followed... now with me being in the hospital and not wanting to follow their rules and finding everything stupid they did... he was cracking up! Well... we had fun as you can tell :).
Here the last picture of Zoe in the hospital, ready to go home, again... sleepy head!!!
Uuuhhh, she loves her warm and cozy car seat and the bumpy ride. Well in Michigan, the roads are very bumpy. But she enjoyed it big times and was awake (uuhhhooohhh)
At home the first thing was: feeding and then we already had some coworkers stopping by. For now we're just laying her on the floor so she's with us. The hospital told us to have her always in sight for the first couple of months. But I think she loves her room, even though we only used the changing table so far!
At night we have her in a bassinet in our room that you can swing a litte. This is awesome because again, she slept wonderful and when she is just fuzzing a tiny bit I just push the bassinet a little bit and she's back to sleep. Well... can I tell you, she ate the last time around 1130PM and then Frank rocked her to sleep. He is such a wonderful daddy... she loves her daddy deeply... seeing the two together is so wonderful... OMG :)...
So she woke up once and I tried to feed her but she wasn't interested at all and wasn't going to wake up either, just wanted to be hold for a little bit and wush... back to sleep. At 530AM I tried to feed her again because she started to wake up (I thought!) but no chance... back to sleep... at 630AM I got up with her and 'upsi'... wet diaper... changed her and tried to feed her again. Took me a while since she was still half asleep and somehow Frank managed it to gave her his genes... she needs HOURS to wake up!!! Unbelievable!!! Here some pics of trying to feed her... "Thumbs up: Nice try mommy, but no... I'm not awake yet!"
Smiling: "Yeah, you wish I would wake up, hae? But no... not ready yet"
"Hihi, I'm a sleepy head"
"Breast? NOOOO, Mommy, I found my thumb... that's so cool :)!"
And look at the nice flowers. When we came home these welcomes us from our coworkers from KN Chicago for Zoe's birth. They're so beautiful. Our first flowers in the house... I LOVE them.
Other than that... I'm healing so awesome (don't wanna make other moms jealous here, sorry). Just have to slow down in my activities... it's very weird to do everything half speed but my body is still a little exhausted from everything it went through and I can feel the exhaustion if I don't watch. But I'm almost back just half speedy ;).
Well... overnight somebody put implants in my boobs! I'm telling you... I couldn't believe it this morning... gosh!!!
Hope that the baby doc on Monday is not yelling at us because she's not getting so many feedings a day! But Frank, my mother in law and I decided that she will probably tell us if she's hungry! Why should we 'push' it in her? It's natural, when we're hungry, we eat! And when she's eating she's sucking the life out of me *lol*.
It's so great to have Frank's mom here. Have some additional experience and help... checking out her 'moods'...
Oh, it's so wonderful. We really enjoy our little family big times. And she's such a good baby... I just can't stop watching her... she's soooo beautiful :).
