First Family Day

Ava is watering the patio...
SMILE
Ava and her mom Swantje
Meike with her grandchild Ava
Today was the first day without any appointments which had a very relaxing touch to it. We got up whenever we woke up which was pretty cool and then we had a very delicious breakfast with scrambled eggs a la Germany!!! It was sooo delicious. I tried it so many times in the USA to do scrambled eggs the german way but I just don't succeed... it doesn't taste the same. Maybe the american eggs just don't taste the same!!! I have to keep on trying ;).
Yeah, this was the main setup today... we were hanging out on the patio and were enjoying the sun. We had about 23 Degrees I think! (Celcius)... wow it was amazing... we needed to put on our summer clothes. I think I got some color already :)...

Longest friendship

Today I met with Edda, Nikola and Lucas. Edda went to school with my mom and therefore Nikola and I share the longest of our friendships because our moms' introduced the both of us when we were in the age of sweet 1.
Nikola is expecting her second child within the next 2 weeks... so exciting. We had a great time sharing all news and having coffee/ cake (self made) in the very nice garden.
Time is flying by so fast. I've seen a lot of my friends and family already within the last week and enjoyed every minute of it. I still have 4 full days left and try to spend most of this time with my family since they haven't really had that much from me thus far!

Three crazy sisters... back together

Today Sita and I drove 2 hrs south to our dear Sister Jela. The drive back and forth wasn't a biggie... we had a lot to talk about and enjoyed the time we could spent together
Jela and Sita:
DANA, you're missing :(
*G*
Ok, the three of us went downtown Bielefeld to have a nice brunch. And sure enough it was: 'Cafe Knigge' where we had our good meal :).
This picture is for Andrea... the proof... Quark!!! Andrea I finally had my roll with some 'Quark'. (The explanation behind it: In the USA you rarely get 'Quark' and if you find a place... it costs a fortune! Andrea was bugging me all my vacation already if I have had quark already *g*... now I did)
This was a great brunch... all porcelain plates ;) - Very cozy and delicious, with rolls and cheese, salami, ham, quark, jam, eggs... man... this was so good
We enjoyed this day so much. It would've been so great if we would've had Dana with us. Hopefully we'll get the four of us together sometime soon!
On the way back to the Delmenhorst a very special person was coming up a lot in my head. The ONE who made all this possible... she would've enjoyed being with us in this place as well. A nice cup of coffee and a piece of cake or a breakfast in a cozy cafe. The special time between Mother and Daughter(s)...
Even in the USA we tried to get this feeling at Starbucks by ordering our coffee in a porcelain cup ;)... we needed to explain a little what we wanted, but after a while they knew that we're the weird germans who need their coffee in a porcelain cup every now and then *lol*.
I can just tell you... having three so wonderful sisters is the greatest gift in the world. And the very special person is still living... in each of us... I just wish sometimes that she could still be with us... laugh, talk and cry with us...

Got some new shoes

Ok Prego, I admit!!! I guess I fall for shoes!!! Got some new, great shoes... In the evening we met with some of my previous coworkers: Katrin, Marina and Meike. We had a lot of fun and lots to talk about! It was so nice meeting them

Shopping with the Girls

Sita, Andrea and I went shopping today :)... it was so much fun seeing and talking about some bad service of some sales people... we're having a blast!!! I know now why some shops have problems... with that service I wouldn't sell anything either!

And sure enough we needed to stop at Sabine's (my godmother) jewlery shop and I went shopping there as well :)... can't wait to wear it all...

Monday

Can you see Nelly? When Sabine and Carola wanted to introduce me to their new pet I was kind of curious...
... and then it turned out to be fake *lol*
Sabine and I. It was so cool talking all day with Sabine. I really enjoyed it big times.
Two of the biker boys and Carola. When we all had our motorcycles, Tim, Tyarck and I did some bike tours... that was a cool time. Now none of us have a motorcycle anymore :(
After visiting the family I drove over to Christina's new place and we had some nice dinner and a great chat. I really enjoy seeing everybody.

Waterfront

We went to the 'Waterfront' which is basically a big mall. It was pretty cool. Unfortunately all the shops were closed!!!
Again, tables outside and many people were enjoying the nice and sunny day
