Martin Luther King Day

Today the kids had a day off due to Dr. Martin Luther King Day and we enjoyed it at the Henry Ford Museum with some friends of ours.

Building paper airplanes

And here we have Dustin trying to make himself some food with each 40lbs hanging on his feet *lol*... never a dull moment in this house ;)

Zoe and Henry started playing the game all by themselves (because I was busy making dinner)... such a proud mama moment :)

Kisses and Bowling

Goofing around...

Today we went bowling, the kids had so much fun!!! One game wasn't enough so we played a second one but the last few turns Henry gave to Dustin because he was pooped ;)... Dustin won BOTH games... cannot believe it... I have to pick up my game man!
Well, the main reason was to have fun :) and we totally did.

January is in full swing...

Well, I have to watch it because it seems to be almost over ;). Time FLIES... why would it be any different just because it is 2016, right? We're busy but somehow we're not... it seems all we do is school (drop off and pickup) and random running errands in between.
Here is a usual morning... breakfast with the munchkins and goofing around. Our mornings are always fun, at least I try them to be fun... we need to start the day happy and excited. We get up earlier than we need so we can add some play time as well. They really like it, no stress and off we go to school.

Dustin and Henry got a hair cut :).
One of the cold days, picking up Zoe
After school the kids are playing together, fighting or just doing each their own things... but this ones was really cool, they did the puzzle together. Oh actually I think it was before bedtime...

Mr. Cool *lol*
Goof Balls

My weekly shopping trip... Geez... lots of stuff ;)...
Ups... somebody fell asleep watching TV before heading to pickup Zoe... I must've worn him out with all our running around *lol*
Dustin tries his first Corn Dog. He heard about it in school and asked me to get some so he can taste it... he seems to really like them ;). Zoe and Henry won't touch them... I'm glad :)...
Making Dinner... Lasagne. Oh I love to cook! I guess you can call it my hobby... I just love putting it all together and enjoy the family eating the delicious food together. Mind my crazy apron *lol*...

Winter Break

I hope everybody had a very great Christmas and a great start into 2016. We had a great start into 2016 and our winter break was somewhat weird. There has been a bug going around in our family... it's been quite interesting. There was at least one person a day that wasn't feeling well. Luckily we got to spend most of our time comfortable at home and rested... enjoyed quality time together. We squeezed in a Baltimore Trip spontaneously which we almost had to cancel last minute too (because of sickness). Unfortunately Dustin was feeling better just before departure but then got sick again in Baltimore so he had only one nice day when I took him to downtown alone and the kids were spending quality time with Grandma, Grandpa and Daddy. I showed Dustin pretty much everything I knew that should be seen and we were surprisingly done early with our sight seeing so I took him to the great bakery that I had to show him. I guess we were done so quickly because we didn't have the little feet with us. We could just go go go ;)...
The kids enjoyed spending their time with Grandma...

A Shopping Mall I've set foot in for the first time. I liked it...
The Miniature Land:

Back home yesterday after we went swimming... took a quick lunch break and then we headed to Zumba (me) and the kids to the Gym Day care.
Today was a sad day. Oh, Henry got sick AGAIN last night *sight*... so Frank and I were worried all day that we might get it too but luckily we didn't... puh... we took down all the christmas decoration :(... the tree is outside :(... everything back to normal and packed away for next year to be put up again. It was a bittersweet time because I really enjoy the xmas spirit. All the Christmas Cards we got I put onto a nice ribbon for display.
I kind of feel that we haven't done enough these two weeks... at least it seems like it. We've been home a lot, spent a lot of time together, played games, relaxed... were in Baltimore but I'm so used to be out and about with the kids all the time. I guess since school started, life changed... I miss it a lot though. I'm not quite there to accept this change of life but I also do enjoy my 'me-time' in the gym a lot. I try to go as much as I can and fit it in.
Happy 2016 :)

Family Pics...

Since it was so warm outside the day when we took our family picture we decided to take our backyard as background this time :).

I think it turned out pretty great :)
Goofing around with Daddy before and after...
