VACATION!

Oh I'm sorry guys but somehow I was so busy with other things going on and vacationing that I neglected my lovely blog :). 

Well, we had a great family week while we were gone. As I said it was a 'family overload' the moment we arrived and we LOVED it! Every single minute of it was a blast and we enjoyed being with family so much that it was very sad to say buy again a week later :(. Between a Family Reunion, Watching the Football Game together and the Ravens surprisingly winning (Frank was so happy to be home celebrating this moment with his family instead of his grumpy wife who's so not into football *lol*). Then us four went on a mini vacation down south on the eastern Shore, with a stop in Cape Charles, VA and Norfolk, VA exploring the area around it and we totally fell in love!!!

Here my wonderful 'Schnittchen' German Style, I HAD to bring something typical German to the Reunion :)... you know me :)

Here some pics from houses in Cape Charles, VA and these are the 'newer' ones, we didn't take pics from the old historic DownTown Cape Charles. Unfortunately it was raining all three days long :(... but we still enjoyed our little mini-vacation a lot.

There were even two gated Communities. Apparently there are a lot of vacationers having second homes and the city only has about 1000 locals living there

Back home again and we got some snow yesterday, Today it's very cold (-18C) but it's ok, the sun is shining all day long and beats into our windows. LOVE IT!!!

We finally turned Henry around facing forward! He was kicking and screaming every single time we put him in the car seat since he got the new car seat rear facing. He was always fine in his baby seat but the next one he just never liked rear facing. So we decided to turn him around and making him a big boy and oh man was he excited!!! My little baby!!! Not a baby anymore :(

Family Reunion

Here I found myself at my first family Reunion USA style :). It was sooo exciting to be a part of this. My mother in law and I were preparing food and so did many others do. We had such great food and a lot of fun. Kids did so well and had a lot of fun as well.

Life is tough! Specially if your brother has something that you wanna take away from it and mommy doesn't allow it ;)

But we have a happy Henry is his new toy: Daddy's Shoebox. The kids love boxes at the moment... it's funny, the cheapest things are sometimes the best.

I rearranged the office... more space and I needed to clean it up as well. Next step was hanging pictures :). Now I wanna paint it *lol*... we'll see... first I have to hang all the pics I wanna hang and then I'll take a picture again for you guys.

I added this little table for the kids in the office (now that I have so much space). It's great for Zoe to watch a german DVD while I work... she's miking it :)

Mom needs to get out - IKEA is the solution

After so many days being stuck inside. (Well I went to a play date yesterday with healthy Henry, him and I are the only one still/ again standing.) I took the kids today and wanted to go out. Zoe says to me: 'Momma, I don't wanna go to the fitness center!!!' OMG, it hit me hard... recently the only thing I take them to is the fitness center and they will be dropped off at the day care so nothing fun with Mom or friends :(... but then I put my head straight again and YES, I wasn't planning any play dates because the kids would just fight and I needed a break from it... ok, relieved again, there was a reason behind it ;). Off we went to IKEA to have some fun with mommy :). And we had LOTS of fun :)... I enjoy it so much doing stuff with them. Specially when they're both being so good which they normally are. Took MINUTES to get past this rainbow tunnel *lol*... now I understand why my mom went with us to IKEA so much *hihi*. 

Then we went through the kids rooms and in every room we stopped because they could play with something. Oh it was nice and easy :). I just sat in a kids chair and relaxed *lol*

Passing the cafeteria without Henry screaming for food isn't possible! They shared a kids plate and Mommy had a coffee and a tiny piece of sweets. I paid $3.49 for all of it and everybody was happy. Ok, Henry wanted to have more but hey... he can always eat as you know.

And Zoe is sooo creative. She found this 'Winkel' piece and some pencils, she wanted me to take a picture of her coloring on her laptop!!! It's so great to see her and also Henry to be happy with the cheapest things, they think so creative. Henry is running around at home with an empty shoe box for days now. It's the most favorite toy he's playing with right now!

Sick start into the year

Well, somehow we're having a bug in the house. All three Frank, Zoe and Henry having some kind of stomach virus. Lucky enough we had some extra bedding for the kids that we really needed some of these nights. After one week of smelling either puke or diarrhea diapers I CAN'T smell it anymore... urgh...  hope we'll be done with this soon and wish me lots of health please because I wanna stay healthy, somebody needs to take care of all of them ;).

Mall - First Post in 2013

Here is to a happy 2013 and how are we starting it? Healthy :)... Healthy breakfast and gym, then some fun for me and the kids with a trip to the mall with shopping, pretzel bites, a cookie and playing. That's the best way to start a healthy and happy new year for us :).

Henry got the tiny version but wouldn't leave Zoe alone when he was long done and she was still eating hers... he was upset!!!

In the play area... Henry didn't even want to enter it... I guess he was thinking I'll leave him there like I do in the gym. He just was sitting next to me chilling, watching all the crazy kids going wild.

Happy New Year Everybody. Hope this will be a healthy and happy new year for everybody. The only wish I have is for us/ the family and friends to be / stay healthy.
