Henry's Preschool Cupcakes

Jup, he decided it's going to be Chocolate Cupcakes with Chocolate Frosting! Little Chocolate Monster ;)...
Today his preschool is celebrating his birthday so we can bring in a snack for the class to share. My little helper helped again of course:

Lazy Sunday

Boy, we needed a lazy Sunday today ;). Frank got sick somehow... but he went with Dustin to pickup his new suit that had to got tailored and I in the meantime cleaned up the rest of the house from the party ;).
After Dustin's workout at the gym we picked him up and made a spontaneous appearance at Henry's preschool that hosted a Fall festival. It was a lot of fun but we came when it was almost over but we still got to eat a few hot dogs and Henry dunked that guy in the water tank ;)... it was fun.
On the way we found a hair saloon that was open so Dustin got his hair cut while we enjoyed some Frosty Boy Ice Cream in the meantime :) *yum*... no worries, we brought Dustin an ice shake back when we picked him back up ;).
It was so wonderful sunny and warm... we have to soak it up :). Tomorrow it's back to school again... Dustin has a home game and Frank will hopefully feel better tomorrow!

Little Boy already 4 yrs old! :( :)

Henry's Birthday... wow... all this work and it's over already! It always goes fast but he had an AMAZING day :).
We baked and decorated sugar cookies as 'giveaways' for the guests and Henry was a very helpful hand and helped cut them (eat the dough of course) and decorate them:

Next on the list was the cake... Henry wanted me to bake a Lighting McQueen Cake! Nothing easier than that, right? But as a mom you go above and beyond for your little ones... Dustin had no school on FR so he helped us accomplish a great cake. It was a big mess with the colors and despite adding so much red food coloring we didn't get the bright red. But we were very happy about our accomplishments and the cake must've tasted good.

Birthday Morning... Henry was so excited and he even got dressed with Zoe together before I even came out of the shower. He was ready to go and celebrate :)

That helicopter landed a few times in the trees *lol*... the kids had a blast

Morning Assembly

Cheese... TUE morning 8am in Zoe's school for Assembly:
Her whole school meets every morning at 815am in their gym for 15 min to say the pledge (an american thing) and then they sing the american national anthem (every single morning) now she sings it at home all evening. I should learn the german national anthem so I can sing that with her... I never really learned it. I know one sentence of it! It's really hard for me to see that school is so different here than it was for me in Germany. We NEVER sang our anthem in school (at least I cannot remember it at all)... the celebration of their country and the pride of their country here is so big and ours was so little... it's so sad to see that there is a huge different and I'm having a hard time going with the crowd here since I didn't grow up that way. I guess I have to get over it... if I want to become an US citizen I have to be willing to do all this too... but I'm not ready for it yet!
My little man. I really enjoy our time together... I think it's actually cooler to be the second child. When Zoe had her one on one time with me for almost 2 yrs she was still so little and probably cannot remember a thing but Henry now does all these fun things with me and tells me what he wants to do etc. that must be so much cooler, don't you think?
We baked cookies for Henry's Birthday Party. This time we're making home made cookies in shape of a locomotive for giveaways. I was trying to find some inexpensive stuff that is not stuff you just throw away after a minute.... but it all adds up and homemade is always best and budget wise anyway ;)... and Henry enjoys it a ton so we found our perfect fit :). Henry was eating more dough than he should've but can't blame him... it was yummy and I did the same when I was baking with my grandma back in the days :)
I was watching my friends son while she's still recovering from her surgery so even picking up Zoe with an additional child work out very well...

When we got home and Zoe and Dustin were around as well, Luke surely enjoyed all the life in the house :)... it is a lot of fun with so many kids :). I totally love it. Glad I have a minivan... always enough space for everybody who wants to join our fun filled family :).

Greenfield Village

Our German Monday :)... we went to Greenfield Village with Michael and Austin. The boys had so much fun together. It is so different not having the big kids around... now the little ones finally get their fair share and get to see only fun things they wanna see :).

Henry loves the Roundhouse... he always wants to stop there.

Dustin's Soccer Team WON today :). First time... and we witnessed it... it was great. Zoe was very excited... she's getting more excited and yells at all the players than me *lol*...

Public Safety Event

2nd Round of Waffles :) with Chandler this time
Yesterday was a very rainy morning but the kids wanted to go outside anyway... in rain boots and umbrella. Zoe complained that the rain was too much for their little umbrella *lol*... funny girl
After the rain stopped a bit we went over to the Public Safety Event our city sponsored. Giving back to the community :)... They displayed a lot of cars and trucks and the kids can get to meet the police officers and firemen etc. Unfortunately it was purring down raining for the setup and not as many people came out then last year but we still went and showed up ;)...
Since it wasn't busy, Zoe got a pony from the balloon clown!!! One of the perks if you show up in bad weather :)...

And free hotdogs is always awesome as well... Nice picture Zoe ;)
