Our week

Oh my, we've been so busy... finally a few days to chill out a little and something is up with both kids too. Zoe has a runny nose and Henry is soooo cuddly lately and probably teething. We've started to put up some christmas decoration outside since our subdivision is having a contest this year and I'd like to have at least a little bit up. 

The last two days Henry barely napped and continued cuddling with me instead of sleeping...

Somebody is hungry!!! He can literally eat all day long!

Story Time in the library

Afterwards the kids were able to craft some little Christmas Trees. Zoe made one for Grandpa, one for Daddy and one for herself :).

Another nap on Mama's chest... but on the other note, we're successfully weaning this little guy. Maybe that's why he's getting more cuddly now... he's missing the nursing?! I really enjoy him being so cuddly, Zoe has never really been cuddly unless she's very sick.

Ok, time to read a book. Zoe is into reading books now and I have to take advantage of that and read German to her!!!

Having fun bathing. Every single time when I take Henry out of the tub he's screaming and kicking and really trying to get back into the tub! This boy is too much *lol*

Food Drive

Today we've collected food for a Local Food Bank. It always feels so good when we can give back to others who're not as fortunate as we are. We didn't have as a great of a turnout as we had last year but one of the things were that another food bank came in and wanted to collect the same date that I've already planned for a month or so and communicated. So I pushed my date back a day and they got a few donations and we got as well. I felt sad that it happened but with these organizations you never know what they're doing. Next year I maybe have to plan it on another event and closer to the holidays or so... def. going to do it again.

Laterne Basteln (crafting a Lantern)

In Germany we have a tradition that is called: 'Walking the Lantern' (Laterne Laufen)... in order to do this, we need to craft some :). What a crazy idea to do this with a 2.5 yrs old and a 1 yr old *lol*... I've never been soooo fast, finishing a lantern so Zoe could put stickers on it and decorating it herself *lol*... it was a little challenging but I made it. As you can see, Henry is in the middle of it all. He's having an attitude you won't believe!!!

Oh Boy! He IS a boy I guess *lol*... but we had a lot of fun, the kids didn't wanna leave at all but I went since it was dinner time and we enjoyed a nice night out at a burger place and as soon as the food came, the kids were happy and were munching away the fries! On Sunday we'll meet with all the Germans and will walk our lanterns, sing songs... the typical German tradition :). Looking forward to it.

Ok... so what do you think happens when you don't put your kids down for a nap? Right, they fall asleep eventually *lol*... I only went shopping and after the short ride to the store I was curious why I haven't heard a peep from the row behind me and when I parked in... I saw they were sleeping! Unfortunately I had to wake them up but hey... they know they can nap at nap time, if they decide to play instead that's not my problem ;).

If you want to eat something in this house and have it for yourself... you need to lock yourself in or something... here you can't eat anything anymore without sharing it. Mr. Henry is the first who smells/ sees food opportunities!!! I don't believe this little man!!! Well, he's not allergic to Tuna ;)... our kids seem to be ok with all kids of food. Zoe just can't have the combination hot dogs and popcorn at the same time or close together, that makes her throw up!!! But that's totally fine since that is bad food anyways :). She can eat them separate though... Hot Dogs or Popcorn.
