Roadtrip 2017

I'm getting dizzy *lol*... just told Inga that now going through the pictures and re-living the summer we've done so much... wow... which is good though.

It was time to finally start our vacation and heading south to South Carolina for a week of pure vacation and family time. Our fist stop was in Asheville, NC which was a beautiful town as well:

We stopped at a friends' house who lived here in Michigan but moved to Greenville, SC a year or two ago. We spend a fun afternoon in the pool with great food and great conversations and then headed to Charleston.

Frank and Ray... we made it to their home before darkness
My pink drink with view :)... what a great start into vacation mode:
While Ray and Patty went to work, the four of us just got up and took it easy... we had a great time enjoying ourselves and Frank showed us everything he loved about the city.

Beach Time

Tea Plantation

This is the oldest tree or biggest?! Angel Oak, a big tourist attraction

Frank and I got to go on two date nights and it felt soooo great to just leave and enjoy a great night out :)... Frank's longtime friend Roy and Tammy

After dinner we took a walk on the pier
Aldi Baby :)... they also exist in Mt. Pleasant, SC :)

Charleston has many very cute little houses... I went nuts taking pictures I think

Inside the post office

Henry loves seafood... he loved peeling and eating shrimps
:(... another windshield cracked :(

Oh, and we met another of his friends: Joerg and Christine (original from Switzerland) for another date night :)
The kids were in the pool anytime possible. On SAT they finally got Ray and Patty in as well :)

Neighbors came over to join in the fun

It's time for showing the animals.
I think from the whole summer, this week was the most exciting and memorable one for the kids. Zoe was so afraid to show the animals and showing the chicken and the rabbit she was crying just before she had to go up there... showing the goat she was a pro and no tears and they both had so much fun and enjoyed the whole experience a lot.
Henry would refuse to wear any long pants or other pants than his two short pants however for the show he didn't say a word and put on his 'outfit' !!! Look at these cute kids!

The eggs all of their hens laid. Every day they were excited to find a new egg in their cages... and they made sure the cages were kept clean etc.
Practicing for the rabbit show... turning the bunny around was the hardest part for Zoe but she did it
Henry didn't show a rabbit or the goat so he was back into his 'summer outfit' :)
Zoe was able to borrow another rabbit that was a bit easier to handle. Next year she wants to show her own bunny!!!!

They did such a great job every day to take care of all the animals... their chicken got so tame during that week because they were held all the time *lol*

Time to show the goal. Unfortunately Thumbelina got diarrhea and wasn't able to come to the show so Zoe showed Spiderman who was just born 6 weeks earlier
Henry and I were chilling in the stands

Well, I had to go help out *lol*... she was too young to show by herself so I had to be close by to help in case anything went wrong but I was just a silent shadow ;)

The last day was a fun day for all and probably their favorite day because they got to dress up the animals and themselves and show them. Henry spontaneously dressed up as Batman with the goat 'Spiderman'
The rest of the gang dressed up the chicken as 'dwarfs' and dressed up as snow-white

Very very fun and great experience and even I have to say that I look forward to next year and the next show ;)
