I think I'm having too much fun *hihi*... I'm so happy about it. I'm always having a good time but the stress level is sooooo little now that is so super nice :). On FR morning I packed my minivan with all needed supplies for a weekend trip and headed to Chicago to visit my friends. The trip was great. The kids were totally cool and excited we only did two tiny stops and were in Chicago in no time. The next morning The kids took a ride out on the horses *lol*
Since Stephanie and Lena had gymnastics on SAT morning I took the kids out to the mall where they had a play area which is free of charge and they got to ride two carrousels and we also had some Cold Stone Creamery (Thanks Andrea!!! Without you I wouldn't know the good stuff however also the bad stuff for my figure *lol*)
Zoe makes friends so easily...
On Sunday morning we drove to Vicki checking out her new home and then took her with us to the German School in DownTown Chicago for a traditional Lantern Parade. It was more a gathering of Germans crafting incl. a 5 min walk :(... we were a little bit disappointed but we sure had a lot of fun and enjoyed this fun filled Sunday
Crafting the Lanterns
It was so great to have Vicki with me so she crafted with Henry and I got to spend some one on one with Zoe.
I think she looks a little tired ;). We didn't sleep that well and Zoe got a little cold overnight.
Henry was more into the light. His lantern stick with the light attached he actually broke before we even went out for the Lantern walk!
Lots of tiny Germans singing the Lantern Songs... I was cracking up so hard... they weren't singing... they were screaming to the words they totally KNEW... It was the funniest thing ever... Zoe was thrilled and Henry was also super excited to see the bunch of kids performing and was clapping after the songs were sung.

Afterwards I had to show the kids Portillo's a burger place I have had lots of meals back in the days in Chicago!!!!!!!!!!!! I told them I'll show them a real cool Diner and when they entered Zoe was like " WOOOOOOW... " it was so funny :)... hihi... she picked out where we sat and we had a nice and unhealthy dinner *lol*
Monday we were heading back home but first we had to stop for a second breakfast at Sandra so the kids can see each other again and we got to talk... didn't take them long and their play room looked like a bomb exploded in there!!! KIDS!!! *lol*
It was such a great weekend! We had such a great time and the trip itself wasn't bad except it started snowing on the way home... on the up side the kids did so amazing that I didn't mind driving at all but I was very happy to be back in my garage again. My parking sensors were actually frozen and didn't work! I hope the 'touching' the garage wall wasn't of any damage to my lovely minivan... I don't care about the garage wall though *lol*... me and my van *inLove*
