Polish County Fair

We're ready for Sommer, Sonne, Sonnenschein :)... new sun glasses and hats were needed. Also Henry got a very nice swim outfit with long arms that apparently is protecting from the UV light... love that!

On Thursday we were meeting up with Kaitlyn and Owen. Zoe is really good at Air Hokey!!!

Owen found the water fountain and the girls had a blast letting the water go totally into his face and everybody was cracking up big times

THU afternoon we've baked some cookies for our play date with Janos, Emma and Laura with Silke. I got Zoe this little apron, isn't that cute?

Liebe Edda:... Zoe wollte ihre Jacke endlich tragen wollen, sie hat sie selbst ausgesucht als sie im Schrank nach einer Jacke suchte und hat besonders die Sternen Knoepfe bewundert. Leider war das das einzige 'ok' Foto was ich bekommen habe bei ihrer Poserei... sie kann einfach nicht still halten *lol*. Ganz lieben Dank nochmal.

Yesterday we went to a Polish County Fair (Kramermarkt) with the whole family :). It was only 45 min north of us and we found a 'private' park right on the water with water that was clear as can be... it was AMAZING... it reminded me of our time up north in Michigan and I felt like being on vacation. It was just amazing... the kids had such a great time.

I thought the fair would be starting earlier so after we filled out our spare time on the lake we've continued at the fair. The kids had a great time and so did we. It was a little too overwhelming for them I think looking at all these colorful rides and so much going on. The 'polish' food wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be so much more to choose from but again I was a little disappointed if they say it's a polish fair, don't expect a variety of things, you can choose from three items *lol*... ok wasn't that bad but I always expect too much from these things here...

Zoe lets me do her hair now... I can't wait for it to grow longer and thicker. It's so much fun braiding it and try new hairdo's. She wouldn't let me take a nice picture but I think you can slightly see what I did ;).

It's 850AM Saturday Morning on a long weekend and the loan mowers are out!!! It really goes on my nerves lately. I mean I know our neighborhood is keeping up with the nice looking grass and such and we have 150 lots here which are each about 1/3 acres big. And you can count on it that anytime of the day of the week you hear a mower somewhere... I don't try to take napes often but WHEN I try... somebody is mowing... one day (it was easter saturday - 10AM) I was out in the backyard enjoying this peaceful quietness and told my neighbors 'oh man, how peaceful and quiet it is'... and my neighbor said: 'our neighborhood is in general very quiet at all times' and then it hit me... NO... it's not! In the summer you can count on everybody's A/C to run almost all day which is pretty loud!... and since our backyards are pretty small you can hear them all around you... it's just annoying... gosh... I had to vent on this one now :). All I want is some peace and quiet at least ONE day a week ;)... Well hopefully if he mows our neighbors now and then he probably does ours, then our neighbors... the other neighbors... by noon we hopefully are done with that NOISE... and then our next door neighbor probably takes his handy dandy mower out and mows his lawn... 

Alright, I get my shopping list done and get out of here *lol*... busy all day with running errands and stuff and hopefully be able to go to the gym and the kids will be ok in that day care ;). Happy Memorial Weekend All, enjoy this wonderful sunny weekend with some peace and quiet hopefully :)...

Toledo Zoo and Such

On Wednesday we went to the Zoo enjoying this beautiful hot spring day. The kids had a blast

... a playground in the zoo and what do they do? Playing in the dirt!!!

On Friday we went to the Petting Farm around here. Henry loved it lots to feed the animals, it was the cutest thing ever

FR afternoon we took a bike ride, stopping at our park on the lake watching some neighbors fish... now Zoe wants to go fishing too *lol*... well, that's a duty for Frank ;)

The kids love the tire swing, perfect for the two:

At the zoo they just added twin polar bear cubs... they were so playful and fun to watch...

a lazy elephant! It's so fun... I mean we've been to the zoo so many times and there is always something new I can take a picture of. Never saw one of the elephants laying down I think

At the zoo they have this little river for the kids to play in. That was perfect for the little dirty kids to get clean :). And they loved it.
